Hi everyone and thanks for the welcome.
Yesterday was a hard day as I went to my niece's 6 th birthday party and it was all white bread sandwiches and buns - I overdid the egg ones (I always love sandwiches someone else has made......) and felt so bloated that we didn't eat last night so a blessing in a weird way!
Today I am going to start journalling again, and try to keep up with foodfocus (that's a web site that you input your food and it does the sums and you can keep an exercise log - really useful tool).
We are also planning a long dog walk too.
Floyd - I know how it feels when you have had a really good week and the scales don't move - I think it is the diet gremlins trying to knock you off track:rolleyes::rolleyes:. Let's hope the scales move down this week!
I am going to try and weigh myself every 2 weeks or so and on random days as I get myself all chewed up about weigh ins - I'm also going to do my measurements as that can sometimes be more of a result.
Small dog is waiting patiently to come in so I will pop back later.
Hello Marion - nice to hear you again!!:j How is your little chap doing?
Lesley.NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -
Morning all, and welcome back Marion
Hoping for a good day today, with my OH hanging around to make sure I don't keep snackingHe's romanian and it is their easter today, so last night we made a traditional romanian easter bread called Pasca, which is like a huge bread based cheesecake, I really must stay away! It's the unhealthiest thing I've ever made
Wish me luck!
So with a small slice of that, these are my plans for eating:
Breakfast - WM toast and low sugar low salt baked beans
Lunch - Wholewheat pasta and vegetable sauce
Dinner - Cous-cous with lots more vegetables and some salad
Snacks - A smallish slice of the Pasca to be nibbled throughout the day
Have a good day all!Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time0 -
Thanks for the welcome backs everyone!:j I will be posting on this thread from now on and am going to stop the other diet ones. Reason being is that I spend far too much time on the computer and need to move my rear end a bit more! Also I find that reading all day about dieting makes me hungry!:D
Today I am having:
B - Blueberry breakfast rice
s - banana
L - roast pork, potatoes, cauliflower, brocolli
s - scan bran and strawberries with yogurt
D - roast pepper, onions, garlic mixed with couscous on a bed of shredded iceburg lettuce
s - hopefully nothing - I get weighed tomorrow morning!
Love
Marion
ps - Charlie is fine, he loved the company although he growled at Mike whenever he sat on what Charlie considers to be his corner of the sofa! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Evening all,
I have done pretty well today...
I have had-
B: Fruit Platter (Didn't really feel that hungry)
L: Wholemeal Pitta with mixed salad and Jalapeno HumousNew Pots, Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage with stuffing and gravy
S: Not really snacked today but if I have then its been grapes.
I have also spent the last 4 hours cleaning the house :j I still can't believe how much energy I have!!!!0 -
Hey, hope everyone is ok
A late post from me tonight, I been so busy and am in a lot of pain, but gotta keep going, because if I rest too much then sieze up!!!ouch!lol
I'm still not doing very well on the breakfast front, I just can't sem to make myself eat anything. This is something I really need to work on, and get back into good eating habits.
So nothing for breakfast :S
Roast chicken dinner for Lunch, with plenty of carrots, petit pois and sweetcorn! yummy yummy! didn't bother to make the usual bread sauce and only had 3 little roasties, but I was so stuffed afterwards!
I've also had pears, blackcurrents and blackberries.I know its canned, but I let hubby drink the syrupMushed it all up into a kind of puree and had it with yoghurt...was gorgeous!!!
so a good feeding day!
My little ones are LOVING the change in food, I've never seen them gobble fruit so fast lol0 -
Can I pretty please just ask for your recommendations?
I tend to eat large meals which along with chocolate is my biggest downfall so what I want to know is, shall I be having large meals filled with veg or is it better to snack on food when hungry but have smaller meals?
Also, how many of you do exercise? I want to BUT I think I might wait for a few weeks to get used to eating healthy!0 -
Home to-day after 11 lovely days of sun ( well, mostly)sea, sand and seafood, beautiful fresh seafood in West Kerry...would be scared to stand on scales as there was lots of chocolate as well....some walking but not the 1000 miles I would have needed to even the score!
Well done to all the losers since I have been here....Frogga glad to see that you know you are doing well and will keep it up....I do find if I cut bread to a minimum and have things like potatoes for starch I feel better, think that I have a minor wheat allergy but it might just work for you.
NO menu going up for to-day's eating....back to the grindstone to-morrow.
Night all
