I'd like to join in, if that's OK?

I am a bad eater -meaning I don't eat all day (applies to most days) until I have a meal in the evening and this is usually about 8pm. I have a very large meal but this is usually all I have, I eat lots of chicken and I'm not a fussy eater. I live quite a sedentry lifstyle, so I know I need to exercise and plan to start swimming this week with DD. I would like to lose some weight because we're going to Florida later this year and we're also getting married whilst we're out there :j I hate the word diet and the minute I think I'm on a diet I tend to gain weight  I can't really afford to join a slimming club because all our spare money is going on the holiday. If I could lose a couple of lbs each week I would be happy.

Any suggestions on how to really kick start this?

    Thanks!

Grateful, what are sw syn free chips?
you caught me too late for the breadcrumb though ;)
I had two fishfingers and a handful of chips. I really enjoyed it, but am quite hungry still, and not sure what to do about it, especially as the little ones stole the fruit out of the fruit basket and took it outside with them...there are apples, pears and grapes all over the ground with bite marks in them or pieces missing out of them!!!
You know what they say about children and when everything seems to quiet...I should have known better really
Had a bit of a scare when next doors rather large dog turned up in the garden too, so no-one was terribly happy about having to come back indoors until it's owners were found, as it has a history of being a bit...um...highly strung, so now have to sort out securing the garden, which I thought we had already done!!!
ok, now I'm rambling lol, so am going to go before I bore you all to tears :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    evening all!

Marion - commiserations on the gain - I'm not looking forward to weigh in on Wednesday as I havent really got back on track since Easter but hopefully the shock will give me a kick up the bum!:D

PNQ - muesli is really nice if it is soaked overnight in milk in the fridge - all the fruit goes juicy and the oats don't take forever to chew!

Just finished my epic working weekend - got 2 days off now.

B - 1 WW toast, 1 sachet oatsosimple with dried apricots and a banana

L - bubble and squeak and baked beans

    S - half a snickers:o

D - 1 cheese and onion crispbake with rustic chips and salad and a mullerlight.

good luck to the newbies and all those struggling x

Had a pear and porridge for breakfast, chicken and stuffing sandwich with cappuccino for lunch, steak, spinach and potatoes (with butter!) for dinner, cup of tea and the rest of my chocolate Easter bunny ...all gone now so hopefully will be good for rest of night.

Got a melon and pineapple in Aldi today for €.69c each, so will enjoy those over next few days.

to make them cut your spuds into chips and parboil for a few mins. Spray them with frylight and cook them in a hot over for about 30 mins - best to make them chunky I find. They are really yummy. You can make them with the skins on for extra fibre if you like. You can also make spicy wedges like this and roast spuds - all syn free!:j

    Hi There,

I'm only just starting out myself after sooooo many months of "I'll start tomorrow" or actually taking the steps to loose weight and then falling straight off the bandwagon :o

This time however something just clicked and with no real warning I bought a load of fruit and veg and haven't looked back since.. I've not even replaced all the "bad" foods in cupboard/fridge/freezer and I think that has helped me dramatically in the sense that if I want to be naughty then I can iyswim?!?!

Its also been almost a week for me and I feel fantastic! I feel so full of energy- I'm on a constant buzz :D

Sorry I don't really have any advice for you but just wanted to let you know the effects I've had in one week alone to hopefully help spur you on- So good luck! xx

Thanks for the tip tiplady Did you eat half of a normal size snickers? Wowsa that is some will power if you did  I usually have to eat a huge sized galaxy or cadburys bar just cos I cannot leave it :o In fact I'm quite worried about starting eating chocolate again just incase I succumb to its oh-so-delicious creamy chocolateyness Mmmmmm :EasterBun

    L - ? not sure yet

D - HM quorn cottage pie and veggies

snacks - mullerlight, snackajack or ryvita dunker, banana

    Morning all,

Still sticking to things but not feeling like I have lost anything at all, but I shall carry on regardless and see what happpens come Saturday :)

B: Special K and skimmed milk

L: Need to go and get something, wholemeal roll, salad and low fat cream cheese I think

D: No idea, OH on the case again, last night was king prawn laksa and a raw ribbon salad which was delicious

S: Maybe a skinny latte later on

Hope you are all sticking with it and not tempted by all the ridiculous hype about Orlistat being available over the counter. Can you imagine having liquid fat running out your bum in an attempt to lose weight?:eek::eek: I'd rather do an hour on the treadmill!
