Came in about 2000 cals yesterday - a few rogue slices of bread with smoked mackerel pate I could have done without. But one triumph is that a loaf of bread has lasted 3 days now instead of being the centre of a toast binge.

Strapped my pedometer yesterday and managed over 10,000 steps so hope to manage between 8-10,000 today and get a momentum going. And now I know a combination of routes which get me to the magic 10,000 there's no excuse. ;) Going out early afternoon, then again about 6pm to the swings with babba seems to be a good routine (and gets her lots of soporific sea air. :D

Breakfast: 5.30am - banana 8.30 - small bowl of melon and grapes and slice of bread with pate (400 cals)

Lunch: battered fish and salad with yoghurt and mint dressing, and tartare sauce (500 cals)

Dinner: Quorn lemon and pepper escalope with peas and half baked potato with a little butter and salad cream (500)

    snacks: apple

    Hi all,

    my plan today:
b: grilled veggie sausages, potato farl and a poached egg (I'm stuffed now ;))
l: egg mayo and smoked salmon sarnie - yum (nearly ate it last night when I made it :o)
d: turkey curry (in the slow cooker) with naan

snacks: pear, mini milky way. Got nothing else and no money so should be safe ;)

lalamb - hi and welcome. I think your biggest problem is likely to be the fact you only eat once in 24 hours. Your body goes into starvation mode and so when you DO eat, it's all stored in case you don't eat again.

You really need to view it as a healthy lifestyle thing, rather than a lose weight thing. How about trying for your 5 fruit and veg a day etc? And aim to eat a small brekkie and a small lunch as well as much smaller dinner EVERY DAY - and then see how it goes?

Good morning everyone, I had a good diet day yesterday and managed to stick to plan - even though my husband left a big bowl of broken up Easter Egg in the kitchen!

Today I am having a green day:

B - blueberries, yogurt and rice
    s - banana
L - Homemade vegetable soup with broth mix and an egg & bacon sandwich on wholemeal nimble.
s - scan brans with strawberries and yogurt
D - Homemade pasta bake with quorn and loads of added vegetables. Will have some grated cheese on top as one of my HEA with the other being used for coffees.

My HEB's today will be the bread & 85g bacon (raw weight) in lunch time sandwich. Will be using a 2.5 syns in the pasta bake and will be adding 28g of chorizo sausage to the soup before serving so that will be another 4 syns although it will be a large pot of soup which will last more than a day. Will also be 1.5 syns on a stock cube in the soup so total for the day at the moment is 8 which leaves me another 12 - being big does have a few advantages is that I get more syns than normal!:D

    Morning all!
Hope everyone is well - I too have been listening to the stuff about the weightloss pills on the radio and it sounds disgusting!! Not for me thank you very much!

Today is the dreaded weigh in day and I'm not tooo confident this week - you know when you just feel all bloated and fat even though you haven't really been THAT bad?

Oh well - will just have to take the hit I suppose! I'm away for three days with work (Sun- Tues) and the diet always goes out of the window then - German industrial estates don't tend to cater for dietting veggies!
Never mind, will just have to be very good between now and Sunday and hope for the best.

    Anyway, today's food will be...

B - cereal (milk to dog) (B choice)
L - fruit salad (strawberries, raspberries, satsuma, grapes) and a pot supernoodles (all free)
D - not sure yet as its WI day and OH is playing footy so probably something like quorn fillets and HM wedges? (all free)

S - probably something to celebrate/comiserate after WI but will try to keep it good.

    Have a good day....

Hello everyone!!Well, I've managed breakfast two days in a row so far!!Am dead chuffed with myself, and I can't wait until the shopping turns up tomorrow, because I've ordered oats so I can make myself porridge yumyumyum!
haven't made any plans regarding lunchtime just yet, but still have some granary bread in, so could make myself a sandwich of some kind. We're getting to the end of the salad bags finally too, so will probably have some of that thrown in somewhere LOL
PDQ, do you like dark chocolate? I think I read somewhere that if you have couple of squares of dark chocolate then it's more satisfying than milk choc, and because it's so rich you want less of it. Maybe thats a way for you to go?
I have to be honest, I'm not doing too bad so far with the chocolate cravings...probably because we only have a huge cadbury egg in, and I don't like Cadbury chocolate!!Bleuurrgghhhh!LOL
Hope everyone has a good day today!

    ?

    welcome Lalamb from me too!
I agree totally with the above, in fact you need to eat MORE to lose weight but it has to be spread evenly throughout the day to keep your body ticking over. There's no way on earth I could only eat once a day!;)

rachel - good luck at your weigh in!

decided I'm having tinned mackerel(skinless and boneless) on toast with salad for lunch.
    Do what you love :happyhear
