Hi
Put one 1lb this week which is pretty good considering.
Have had a great time and I'm sure there is more to come so will keep vigilant. Disappointed not to have made my steps target. Got to 30K over the week - should have been 35k but as I didn't go out Xmas, boxing day or Sunday I needed to a bigger effort on the other days. Will keep trying, have reset the stepper and am off out shortly for a walk that should start this week with 4k. Good luck everyone...WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

How come there are so many threads on weight loss? I'm at a loss as to which one we should join in on?
This is the new one I think...http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1373949&highlight=weight0 -
Hi
I joined the thread in your link but it wasn't for me as most on there seemed to be calorie counting or on ww or sw type regimes. They are a lovely bunch don't get me wrong, but I wanted to do it in OS way, real food with my family, sensible sustainable eating with exercise and portion control. I know I am not a good advert but I keep trying. I have no idea of calorie counting and got a headache trying to work it out, I don't want to learn points or any other values for food. Just want to loose weight. I haven't found any other threads but then I haven't really looked. Hope you find the right one for you.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

There certainly is a selection for everyone here!:T The one you linked to isn't a new one, what happens when the thread gets too long they start a new one. So weightloss 24, was weightloss 23 and before that was weightloss 22 etc. That thread is for anyone following whichever diet they choose. There is a slimming world thread for people on slimming world:p, there must be one for weightwatcher membersand of course this one which is slimming old style. Saying that I follow the slimming world plan but I also try to do it old style as well and I started off on weightloss 17 or something like that so I post on all of them:rotfl:!
They are all filled with wonderful helpful people - so which ever thread you decide on you will be made welcome!

Good morning everyone and welcome to all the new and returned members:j:T
My name is Marion and I was a long time lurker on this and other forums before I started posting. Funnily enough it was as I was losing weight I got less embarrased about posting;)
I started slimming world about 3 years ago for the first time. I weighed in at 29 stone and 11 pounds:eek:. You would think that weighing that much I would be a very fast loser but you would be wrong:o I have managed to lose about 7 1/2 stone so far and many times it has been a case of one step forward two steps back :rotfl:, however I have plodded on with it - I think SW calls it taking the scenic route:rotfl:! I certainly have done that!
I recently started posting my daily menu plan on here and a couple other forums. I find it helps me stick to the plan because my day is organised and I know exactly what my meals are going to be and I don't panic eat:o!
The next couple of months I am also going to try and do a storecupboard challenge so I might be coming up with some weird and wonderful concoctions. On the other hand I have so much food in the house I could feed a small army for a month I reckon!
So here is my plan today - (the bits in brackets are what the foods are in slimming world ie free,hea-healthyextra A, heb -healthy extra b or syns)
Breakfast - eggs with gammon fried in frylight plus 2 satsumas (all free)
Lunch - home made leek and potato soup with a wholemeal roll and raspberries and yogurt after (free, heb, free)
Dinner - SW recipe meatloaf with new potatoes, carrots, peas and brussels.(free) with a slice of vienetta after (10 syns)
hea will be milk in coffee
Have a good day everyone
Love
