  • Hello
I'm here. I shouldn't be, still got xmas stuff to do but hey ho, my name tells the whole story.
Not too bad yesterday, just one choc from a tin whilst out so at least I was walking. On the walking front I have decided to reduce the number of steps to 5K a day as this is more manageable. It is pointless going for 10k at the moment when I don't have a hope. I might manage it once a week if I'm lucky and really push - a walk into town and round the shops only gets me to 6 or 7 k. Anyways I shall aim for 5k a day, 35k a week and then up it once I have maintained that level for a couple of weeks. Will go to 6k a day for a couple of weeks then 7 and so on. Egg for bfast/lunch shortly then hm soya pie for dinner (pastry only on top) with roasts and veg. Will have carrot, parsnip and broccoli so need to have 2 pieces of fruit, apple and clementines for snack. This is actually looking sensible. No treats opened, saving them for xmas eve when we have friends over. No work treats to sabotage the effort. Hurrah for holidays. Will be baking though, must be restrained.
Retiredlady, my roses tin is sealed, if I open it they (family/friends) will know, this is my control. Heavens knows how many I have had at work though, the toffees are my favourite. Here's a question for those in the know, which is the least/most damagaing sweet in a Roses tin? I thought toffees were the worst, is this right?

The most damaging one is the first one, because no matter which one it is, it always leads to the second.

    Hi all,

I am still here and still just about holding things together with food. Weighed this morning and I am still 11 stone something so I am happy about that, that will be my aim for the festive period to maintain at that level (lowest was 11st 10lb a few weeks back and currently skirting at 11st12/13lb so anywhere within that is realistic for me considering I am ill and its Christmas :) ).

I am being sensible today although we are out for curry tonight so my choices will be fairly restricted

B: 3 wholemeal toast with cheese spread

    L: Cauli dal

D: Some sort of veg curry with plain boiled rice and poppadoms

Have a great day all X
  • Not sure how but I have lost the 2lb I gained last week so back to 11st 4lb for me. Very happy with that.
Not sure of food intake today as I am out visiting so food choices unknown.
Lots of walking done yesterday brought by weekly average to 35K which is good for me. Will try and get friends out walking today if possible.
Have a good week everyone, only 2 more sleeps 'till the big day.

  • I got on the scales this morning not having a clue how I would have done over the past week. Imagine my surprise when it said Ive dropped 11lb, 11lb!!!!!!!!!!

All I can think is that it was all the walking around Liverpool and associated places over the past 2 days accompanied by not a whole lot to eat. I was very sceptical of my digital scales at this point so weighed myself a total of 6 times this morning and 407lbs was the highest reading it gave me, so going by the various results im being rather conservative I think.

    On to target #3.

I have no idea what Im eating today, so will just play it by ear. I will be really happy if I just stay the same over the next 7 days.

Not sure if I will be back on before next Monday, you all know what a hectic week this can be, so I just want to take this opportunity to wish every one of you a very happy christmas, and may you all come out of the other side healthy and happy.

Well done everyone who has lost ;)

I've erm put some on - now have 6 lbs to lose. So will try very hard to be good for the next few days.... but finding it difficult :o

Bought ice creams the other day at lidl - they had cream in - which isn't any good for me (gives me eczema on my body and spots on my face ) So that serves me right :(

Tasted good though - its the small round hagaan style tubs of caramel +cream and the vanilla caramel brownie one in case anyone wants to know :o

So moving on and trying to stay dairy free for my skin to recover :o

    b: oats, syrup and nana
l: hm minestrone soup and a roll
d: mackerel with stuffed peppers (can't remember if I turned on the slow cooker or not though )

snacks: a geobar and I've eaten it so nothing else I hope :o
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

Wow some great losses here folks, well done all :)

Wasn't too bad last night when we went for a curry, didn't have any naan and asked for a channa massala side dish as a main because its alot less saucy than most curries (at least in the place we went to it is, some other places make it swimming in sauce).

Just done my grocery shopping for Christmas and I'm quite pleased that there isn't much junk in it. Decided to buy 3 single packets of crisps each for me and OH instead of getting the giant Sensations bags that we sit and eat until they are gone then feel like pap! No nuts or tins of choc just a small selection box each from Poundland and mine is a kids one that has a Chomp, Fudge, Crunchie and Flake in it so they are the lower cal choccy bars.
I did cave in and buy 1 packet of water biscuits, a small goats cheese and some sharp cheddar as I made a stack of Christmas chutney so I want to try some on boxing day :)

Its nice to see that everyone is so positive even though its terribly difficult at this time of year. You can see just how far we have come in altering our mindset that just having a small amount of something delicious is OK and we don't have to punish ourselves for eating it.

I'm going to ice my Christmas cake tonight, then take it over to MIL's so we only eat it when we visit, cunning eh?

Might do some more baking tonight, maybe shortbread then take that to MIl as well heh heh!

Editing because I forgot to put my meal plan ha ha

B: 2 wholemeal toast and cheese spread

L: Low fat mozarella and tomato ciabatta

D: HM Chicken burritos with spanish spicy rice and low fat guacamole

    Have a great day all
