Morning all!
back to it again for me after a not very good weekend. I'm out to lunch today with mum so will have to try and choose healthily and resist pud.
Not sure whats for dinner - need to consult DH when he gets in from work at lunchtime but there's plenty in the freezers.
For breakfast I have had spaghetti on toast and a banana.
Marion - hope the weigh in at SW went well x
I hope you're all doing ok xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Thanks, I had another STS this week.
I am stressed out about my sister coming to visit (for the first time in 30 years) and my house is so much smaller and so much more crowded with people and stuff, and although my heart tells me that won't matter to her, my mind is all over the place trying to get the house like a show home! I was thinking of doing one room at a time, taking a picture of it and then when she comes just give her the photos and tell her to use her imagination!:rotfl::rotfl:When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Morning all - it may be afternoon now - sorry!
Yesterday was ok foodwise - stuck to what I'd planned and went to bed full.
Woke up this morning with raging cystitis - charming! Was at the corner shop at 6am waiting for it to open to buy cranberry juice.
Have had the day off work due to annoying every five minutes toilet habit but had the packed lunch that I'd made for work at home instead.
Today's food will be....
B - cereal (milk to the dog)
L - potato salad (2 syns for the mayo), tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot, carrot sticks, 3 laughing cow lights
S - packet of limbos (3.5 syns apparently - taste a bit like eating sticks of smokey bacon cardboard! But I've bought a 5 pack and will not waste them!)
D - 5 bean veggie chilli (HM) and a tiny bit a grated cheese on the top
Oh and cranberry juice of course:o
Hope everyone else is having a good day - good luck to those with post weekend weigh ins!0 -
Hi old stylers,
I am going to my first SW meeting tomorrow, and have done a little research on line. My concern is (after seeing a sample menu) that this may be expensive and not in the tradition of old style. Any thoughts to encourage me? I need to loose 1 1/2 stone  (sorry, only work in old money) and will keep you all updated.0 -
Hi
I too follow the SW diet (I think there's quite a few of us here)
I think its probably the easiest, healthiest and cheapest diet to do - its based around fresh fruit and veg, meat and fish and carbs (pasta, potato, rice etc).
They encourage you to cook your own meals - not buy ready meals, weightwatcher type products or too many processed foods. You can make this as simple or as elaborate as you like - I can't cook particularly well so tend to stick to basics many of which are "free" foods and spend the syns on treats, ketchup, alcohol etc.
It is worth having a go - most people I know that have tried it have liked it and lost weight. It does take a little bit of thinking about what you are going to eat in advance (as with all diets) but you soon get into the swing of it.
Good luck!0 -
I've really let things slip recently. Been indulging during the week now as well as at weekends and its starting to take it's toll. I measure last night for the first time in weeks and I've put back on everything I lost.
I've had a really crap week last week and one of my big weaknesses is comfort eating. I know I shouldn't and I try to tell myself I don't need it and that it will do more harm than good but I just cave.
MUST TRY HARDER!!!!!!!!!0 -
Hi again
marion - STS is great!:T especially when stressed. I like the idea of taking pics of your rooms:D
Purpleskies - (((hugs))) dont worry we all have slip ups the trick is to put them behind you, not feel guilty and get cracking again!(easier said than done I know)
mrslovetocook - I follow SW too and its definitely OS, lots of home cooking etc and no expensive processed foods to buy. I'm at target now but still need to keep my eye on the ball at all times;)
I had lunch out with Mum, her treat to me and had jacket spud, salad and cheese and half a slice of lemon sponge(we shared a piece)
for dinner I'm having a salmon fishcake, rustic chips and peas.Do what you love :happyhear0 -

Hi
Weighed in yesterday and surprise surprise - STS.
I wrote a meal plan for the week on Sat but will have to abandon it as life is getting in the way. We are all over the place at the mo, I had forgotten I'm off to the theatre this eve, teens are out and about so will have to rethink.
Yesterday had spanish omlette after yoga class, also had tesco caramel biscuits (own version of twix.)WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

morning all
dreadful day yesterday, had curry at a seminar and couldnt seem to stop myself after that, bread, toast, more bread. all i can say is thank goodness its lent or i would have been after the chocolate (am still off the sweet stuff) i cant understand how i can stick to that yet i cant control myself in other ways
anyway i woke during the night feeling terrible, fat and totally p'ed off with myself, so it has to stop from today!!! i am determine not to undo the good work i have done. i am off to Barcelona for a weekend in a few weeks and i want to feel confident enough with myself to be able to eat/drink what i want and still be able to get back to it the day after!
anyway, onwards and upwardstoday will be:
breakfast: smoothie and a banana.
lunch: oatcakes and mushroom pate
dinner: not sure yet but it has to be healthy
snacks will be fruit and a muller light
have a good one- prior planning prevents poor performance!
