    Morning all.

Hugs to all who need them. Hope your OH recovers soon tappy, frogga - don't take any notice of someone who's just jealous of your poetry skills and the lovely sentiments that were purposely not aimed at him. Hugs to wyrdsister. Try to remember all the good times you had - I never really knew my grandads - one died long before I was born and the other died when I was little, but I do miss both my grans and just try and remember the good bits and forget about the rest (including the guilt of not having visted them enough in the later years :o).

Been ill all weekend again  this time coz of evil sesame :(
Didn't think that pita breads that don't have sesame on the ingredients list ... would have a warning saying not suitable for sesame allergies  Missed that one... till I went back to check.

Thinking now of giving up all bakery type goods  Not easy for me at all - will have to console myself with twinks hobnobs :p Just so fed up of missing things on the packaging and it making me ill. Can't have anything baked in sainsburys bakery as they won't confirm that sesame isn't in it - as they use sesame in the bakery. Can't have tiger bread as it's coated in sesame oil. Can't have most chinese food. Can't have go ahead biscuits as they are produced on a line dealing with sesame.

Anyone got any tips on spotting ingredients when suffering from allergies?

    Seriously fed up.
At least giving all those things up means I ought to lose weight :o

    Anyway...
    Food for today
b: nuitrigrain bar (very carefully examined for sesame hints on the label)
    l: hm chicken stockpot soup
    d: salmon and roasted veg

snacks - dunno, stomach still a bit unhappy (but that was possibly the enchiladas I had for tea last night that were a teensy bit too spicy!

    breakfast: 2 x toast & primula
lunch: very yummy salmon salad with a chunk of bread
dinner: not sure, i usually eat alone on a tuesday so it might be egg on toast or salad (thats too much bread in one day) will prob have a muller light after dinner.

At least it's not life threatening like some allergies - it just gives me horrendous stomach cramps and makes me chuck (for about 8 hours or so) Which apparently makes it an intolerance not an allergy :o

To make myself feel better I've just bought an Aunt Bessies cherry pie - on offer in MrT for 99p :p

  • Hello everyone - well done Bigsmoke on the loss and Marion for the STS and to any other losers or STSers I've forgotten!

I have now done 5 days (on day 6) of eating well diet wise and I do feel better in myself, but about two hours ago I heard some shocking news and it has kicked off my IBS big time - I have been running to the loo and my stomach is literally churning and gurgling - I may have to forgo anything else to eat today as I feel pretty sick.

Glad you are feeling better floyd!

Anyway hope you have managed to get some rest JoJo!

Newlywed - I wish I was allergic to chocolate! Seriously it sounds horrendous - I REALLY don't like the taste of sesame at all and tiger bread is the most revolting thing I have ever tasted. I didn't know it was in most chinese food though.

    Food today has been:
    Breakfast - nectarine and pineapple
lunch - went to Frankie and Benny's and I had a starter of 4 barbecue wings, followed by a grilled chicken breast, salad and jacket potato - the chicken breast was topped with bacon and cheese and I took that off and didn't eat it, and I had about 1 tsp of the coleslaw. DD1 was with me and she got an ice cream for afters and I had a couple of spoons of that, and a lime and soda to drink.

Dinner was going to be something simple like tuna on toast but the way I feel at the moment I can't face food (which is unlike me to say the leat) so I am going to have a cup of tea and see if the tummy pains and growlings go off!

Hope you are all okay and not too cold - it is FREEZING and raining here today which makes me feel even more miserable!
