As one comes in ... one bows out!

I've changed projects and moved floors at work and my usual internet access is now reduced. No more messing around on here all day (I mean er working hard ahem!). I'll pop in from time to time when I can but otherwise just to let you all know that I've appreciated all your help and advise and hopefully I've turned a corner and I can keep moving towards goal!

Good Luck everyone! See you soon (I'll still be lurking when I can!) xx

Hi and Bye!!!! I was feeling a bit down about my eating over the last couple of days as there have been a few slip ups here and there and last night's dinner ended up being a Chinese. My OH and I shared a spare rib starter and then we had crispy duck which could have been worse. I can't blame him but he's not exactly helping me. I think it's time for a wee chat, wish me luck! Anyhow today my breakfast was a bowl of muesli, lunch is cottage cheese, ryvita wholegrains and salad plus and orange and dinner will be fish fingers, low fat chips and peas. Hope everyone has a good day.
It's up to me now and nobody else.

    Hi all,

Doing ok at the moment as the amount of crud in work has massively reduced so I shoul be fine. Accidental slip up yesterday, forgot to factor in the 2 small skinny lattes I had while out but its not a huge fall from grace just a teeter ;)

B: Porridge with skimmed milk and water

    L: Lentil soup

D: Not sure as OH is working so I have to fend for myself for a change hee hee will probably end up with something boring and quick like beans on toast or pasta pesto and salad.

    S: Fruit and actimel drink

Welcome to newbies and good luck to Spugz, hope you manage to stay with it :)

Not been around for a few days as I've been booking my wedding!!!!
Oct 3rd so not a ton of time....

Just been to WI and have lost 3.5 lbs - very pleased as I had a very wobbly day on Saturday - booze etc.

So back on the straight and narrow until Saturday when I have to go out for a meal for my sister's birthday - greek food so will have a look at the veggie options and see what would be best.

    Food today...

B - cereal (milk to dog)
    L- supernoodles, grapes and banana
D - quorn lasagne and salad

Hope everyone else is doing ok? I'll have a read through the posts in a minute.

    Hi folks :hello:
I'm enjoying this PMK, :j I'm eating what I fancy but I've noticed I'm eating much less :D The bit I'm finding hardest is leaving a bit on my plate - 'resigning from the clean plate club' I bet my Mum's turning in her grave 'cos I'm leaving food on my plate!!

I went for a swim before work today and I went for a little walk at lunchtime, the sunshine was gorgeous:D

    Enjoy your evening :A

    evening !
    just got in from work.

    slight change to my menu.
Lunch at work was HM red pepper and butternut soup(yum yum) so had that instead of my salmon and veggies.
Dinner on the menu was takeaway fish and chips:eek: but I had a small handful of chips only and ate my salmon from lunchtime.:A I brought my M & S meal home for another day.

Back on an early shift tomorrow plus its my weigh in tomorrow evening so I may be late posting. Am confident I havent put any on this week( she says with fingers crossed;) ) but due to TOTM may have STS.

    welcome to our newbies!

    see you all tomorrow x

    Hi all,

Pretty good day after all, went to Mr T on my way home and bought some lovely filled tortellini and made roasted 'bottom of fridge' veg pasta sauce with a slice of organic wholemeal crusty bread. Yum!

Hope tomorrow is just as good. I seem to be sticking to plan but I feel like I am eating too much food, maybe because I have a small lunch and breakfast then have a huge evening meal. Not the way you are supposed to do it (breakfast like a king and all that) but I like to eat my evening meal with OH.

Have a great day tomorrow all

s - fruit, maybe some dry cereal or crackers
    t - don't know yet

    have a great day everyone

Hi all, this looks like a great forum and I'd love to join in!
After doing really well in December and losing 1/2 a stone in time for Christmas, I have since put it all back on - and more! Have finally decided to stop hiding from the fact and do something about it. No more "Maybe tomorrow" lol.
I suffer from awful PMS which means that none of my "diet" plans have ever lasted longer than a fortnight but I have decided not to use that as an excuse any more! I was previously using a meal replacement plan called Juice Plus (bit like SlimFast but healthier and tastier) but found it limiting and expensive, plus as I can't stick to it forever it taught me nothing about eating healthier or sustaining my weight loss. So apart from finishing off the last tub over the next few days, I plan to have small healthy meals and snacks instead. And, unfortunately stop Baking becuase this is one of my biggest downfalls! (Making biscuits "for the children"!)

I also realised something the other day which I expect is probably obvious to most people but wanted to share with you and see if any one else does this.
I stopped taking sugar in tea and coffee about 5 years ago and never really missed it, apart from occaisonally having one in morning coffee when I had a hangover! But I realised recently that I am constantly craving sugary things (PMS doesn't help) so I tried having a sugar in my coffee (cannot stand it in tea now) and Hey Presto! Sugar craving satified!
With a spoonful of sugar only containing 15 calories and, more importantly, NO FAT! I figure this must be better than scoffing half a pack of biscuits or a brownie!
So my new healthy eating plan wierdly now involves having sugar in my coffee again! Has anyone else found this?

Anyway, at risk of writing the longest post ever here's my eating plan for today (will be going out and buying a pretty notebook this afternoon to keep a Food Diary).

Breakfast - JuicePLus (to use it up, I know it's not Old Style btu would be worse to chuck it!)
Lunch - Chicken breast with garlic and lo-fat mayo either in sandwhich or with veg if I can be bothered!
Dinner - Spicy beef and vegetable soup (found lovely recipe yesterday, looks very filling so will try not to have bread)

Snacks - get back into eating fruit!

Will be back on this evening to let you know how I got on!
