    Morning all!
The first weigh in last night wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - 10st 12lbs.
I really want to lose a stone (at least) and think its quite do-able if I put my mind to it.
So this is day 3 of the diet and here's my meals for the day...

B- got up late so just a banana today
L- homemade potato salad (leftover new potatoes with a teaspoon of low fat mayo stirred it), boiled egg, tomato and cucumber and a bunch of grapes
D- not sure yet but it may be a 5 bean veggie chilli - totally free on a green day

Snacks - another banana (if hungry) and a Nestle Oats and More bar if I can find the syn value somewhere

Have a good day and thanks for your support

PS Good to know I'm not the only milk hating freak out there!!

Guess its about time I started posting my food plans again:

B - pudding rice with muller yogurt and peach slices
L - leftover beef stew with vegetables from last nights dinner
D - pork loin with cauliflower and brocolli pasta bake (cheats version:D)

I am also going to make a selection of SW cakes today and cut them into portions and freeze. That way I can have a very low syn treat with my afternoon coffee and not be tempted by what ever it is my DH is scoffing! (How can men eat so much and still be slim - it is just not fair:mad:)

    Hiya folks :hello:
I had a completely rubbish day yesterday, not helped by OH having medication problems and stuff getting lost at the docs:mad:
But strangely enough this morning I woke up craving salad  so much so that I have decided to forgo the free buffet lunch that's on offer and go and buy myself something from the salad bar!!

I've had porridge with cranberries and raisins for brekkie - I left some as I was full!!
Tea will be decided when I get home, OH is having fish so I can have whatever I fancy.

Frogga - keep it up chuck, you're doing really well!!!

Tappy - fingers crossed for you tonight!

Hope everyone else has a great day :A

    thanks

I like a warm/hot cereal in the morning and since I have switched to the EE plan on SW I only have 1 HEB to use during the day. If I have cereal in the morning thats it gone:mad:

So I came up with this - I vary it from day to day, for instance today I had peach and tomorrow probably blueberry or rhubarb:j

Cook 1/2 cup of pudding rice in 1 cup of water for about 20 minutes (I use my remoska). Remove from heat put into a bowl, add fruit and a complementing muller yogurt and mix together! ie rice with sliced banana and toffee yogurt, rice with frozen blueberrys and a blueberry yogurt, rice with mandarin segments (chopped) and mandarin yogurt. For best results eat straight away while it is nice and warm! Tastes really nice and is very very filling! Also free on SW so can be made any time you fancy it really!

  • Learning from what I have read here I come to the following conclusions:

“trying” alone does not work – having a plan will.

The bathroom scales have not make me fat but not using the kitchen ones has.

The bare facts are I need move more and eat less.

    Eat less:

I weighed my standard bowlful of oats today at 125g – about 450 cals before adding soya milk.

My standard rice or pasta serving before adding oil or sauce is 525 cals. I simply eat too much!

    Move more:

I will set my alarm 30 mins earlier and use the extra time to walk to work

This will, in the long term, do far more to improve my appearance than the time I currently spend doing my nails and hair in the morning!

I will also walk at lunchtime and do a Pilates class once a week.

I will not weigh myself for 90 days but will weigh every bit of food I eat until I get used to the portion size I should be having, and keep a food journal.

Thanks for the help and inspiration everybody.

    That's the spirit Audrey!!

Just a really quick post to let you know (if you don't already) that Quorn pieces and mince are on offer at £1 each in Iceland. As a SW person I live on these as they're free on both days so well worth stocking up at that price!

Jane I'm sure you know this but one of the best ways to clear fluid retention is to drink more fluids. Can't remember the science behind it though!

All going ok here, not weighing till Saturday.
