Hi all, Just wanted to agree that the 'eat less and move more' advice is really the only thing that works for me too. I've been successful for periods of time on various diets but long-term this has to be the answer so thanks Madhouse Keyholder for the reminder. Today has been B=carrot alfafa and hummous on wm bread (I was starving and it did the trick) L= chicken and veg soup, wm roll and a big orange and D= skate wing roasted with pots and green beans. I've chucked in a fair amount of walking too. Hope everyone has a good evening.
It's up to me now and nobody else.

RS - my friend had the mirena coil fitted and has had no end of trouble with various side effects including fluid retention. The pfizer forums have lots of women discussing this coil as well and it is apparently causing a lot of problems - inc pregnancy symptoms and weightgain. My friend has put on a stone and is suffering depression with it. Just giving you a heads up if the gynae tries to fob you off.

hello! So super sorry I haven't popped in teh last few days! I moved desks at work so i haven't had access to the internet! Boo!

Well I lost 1lb on Frdiay. I only need to lose 2 more for my next mini goal (9st 7lb by March 20th). I don't think I'll weigh this Frdiay as I'll be upset and lose motivation if I gain. I think I can lose 2lb's by next Friday tho! Fingers crossed!

    Todays Food was/will be:

    B - Yog
    L - Pitta and Salad
Dinner - Jacket pot and tuna mayo with cucumbers
Snacks - either a bag of pom bears (which were muchos cheap!) and a g&T under the flimsy excuse that I have some limes to use up!

I made some malteser muffins this w/end that are very low and only 2.5 ww points each. Recipe was:

    200g plain flour
    100g soft brown sugar
    75g maltesers
    2tsp baking powder
    50g marg
    1 whole egg
    1 mashed banana
    1 tsp of van essence
    100ml skimmed milk

Just combine the wet ingredients in a jug (making sure the egg is beaten first) the add to sifted dry ingredients in a bowl. Fold in gently. Add to 12 cupcake cases and backe at 190 for 20 mins. You can freeze them as well apparantly so I'll make a big batch this weekend! Nom nom nom!

Thanks for this JoJo - I went to the gynae tonight and he said that the fluid retention should go away in a month or so, but to come back to him if it doesn't. I am not sure about the weight gain side of things but if I find that is the case, being the weight I already am, it will HAVE to go! I am going to see my GP in the next couple of days and will discuss it more with her - my Gynaecologist is nice but I can't really discuss things like that with him - he's very clinical IYKWIM.

Welcome Madhouse and well done Spugz - btw have you got your new glasses yet? Are you going to post a picture of them? I LOVE vintage fashion and stuff but ATM I am too big for anything, but once I lose weight I intend to raid my Auntie's wardrobe - she has beautiful designer stuff from the 1930's through to 1980's and it is all really nice - She is 97 now and hasn't thrown out anything ever - it is all in dress covers in a spare bedroom. The shoes won't fit me though because she's a 5 and I'm a 7 which is a real shame as she has at least 200 pairs!

I made a nice tea of pork steak, steamed brocolli, cauliflower, onions, carrot and parsnip and new potatoes. It was really nice. I made a conscious effort not to have too big a portion and I was still full after I had eaten it all and didn't want pudding.

Hope you are all having a good evening.

    Good Morning Chubby Chums :hello:

Just a quickie to say hello, I'm still alive and hopping :D

Still doing ok, haven't been bingeing or even overeating at all. Feels like eating normally has become a habbit now as it is much easier and I'm thinking about bingeing far less. I rekon I only think about it 94% of the time now  Only joking :D

Acutely aware that I could fall off the wagon at any moment though as it has a tendancy to creep up and bite me on the behind when I'm least expecting it. I was keen to weigh myself last night but I didn't as it wouldn't say what I wanted it to! I'll try and hang on for a bit longer.

Right, have a good day all I'm off to work :D

Actually, scratch what I said before - I got mixed up between the mirena coil and another treatment. :o Numpty. :o

Had small bowl jordans muesli, banana, and muller lite yoghurt (450 cals) so far - I should stop eating NOW! Until lunch!

Lunch: hm roast veg and cottage cheese quiche, salad (400)

Dinner: hm chickpea and butternut squash tikka masala with rice (600)

I smoked over the weekend so am now grappling with patches, a bad temper, and desire to snack.
