    Hi all,
Well done all losers and special well done to those fighting the binge - frogga especially well done ;):D

Been very sick over the weekend. Only ate 2 crumpets and 2 biscuits in 2 days - and don't think they stayed long enough to add to my calories intake if you know what I mean :o Had such bad stomach pains OH asked if I had appendicitus.

Still feel grott and not eating properly, back at work today though - but have lost 3 lbs over the weekend

I just feel wrecked (not having eaten properly since Friday lunch time) and everyone seems to think that as I'm back at work I must be well enough to deal with all the stuff thrown at me

No-one's even asked how I am or if I'm feeling better :(

    Food today:
    b: toasted teacake - coz I fancied it :o
l: hm leek and tatty soup
t: dunno. maybe a mackerel salad, depends if I feel like it or not.

  • Welcome to Rachel - good luck in your weightloss quest. I am trying vegan after many years veggie and there are several other vegans/veggies here too.

Newlywed- hope you are on the road to recovery, work sound like an unfeeling bunch :-(

I weighed myself last night and I am the same 196 pounds I started at , which is hardly surprising given the amount of cheating that has been going on.

I MUST take action on this. Being about 5 stone over weight is doing nothing for my health, and I am an "apple" shape which is worst for the heart.

My GP is warned me a month ago I am heading for type 2 diabetes as I have eatne myslef form 9 to 14 stone over the last two years.

OK- exercise class was great last night , but I can feel how much my flab is getting in the weigh. Time to stop mucking aobut and go for this.

    Food plan is:

    oats
    orange
    wholemeal bread with tomato
    tofu salad
    bean soup.
    Best wishes to all!
  • Hello everyone - welcome Rachel and congratulations on your wedding!

Newlywed - sorry to hear you have been ill - hope you feel better soon. I think there is some kind of bug going round here because loads of people I know, plus DD2 have had a vomiting/runs type bug over the weekend.

Marion - well done on the STS - it could have been worse!

Rockie - I am waiting for my journal to arrive too - I didn't know that you could buy the journal on its own until I read your post. I am going to comit to the 90 days too - I want to see a big improvement in that time but I am not going to give myself a weight goal as that always seems to make me too pressurised and then I binge.

Yesterday was good with my food plan and today has been fine so far too -

Breakfast - 35g sultana bran with sweetner and hot skimmed milk, cup of milky coffee

Lunch - 2 rashers of grilled extra lean bacon, poached mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, a small baked potato sliced and then dry fried, dry fried egg, cup of tea.

Dinner - don't really know yet but may be grilled pork loin steak, mashed carrot and parsnip, sprouts and gravy.

Have any of you who eat meat tried the Aldi be light bacon? It is really nice - almost no fat on it and reduced salt too. I always buy it now.

I have got really bad fluid retention at the moment - I think it is to do with the Mirena coil I had fitted the other week. I am going to see the gynaecologist tonight and will ask him about it - on the side effects leaflet it mentions swollen ankles but says it should pass in 4 - 6 weeks so I am hoping so otherwise I am going to ask him to remove it - I HATE having swollen ankles.

Anyway - hope you are all having a good day.
    Jane

Thanks guys. Feel a bit better - just went for a 20 min walk to the nice sarnie shop to get a smoked salmon and egg mayo roll - it was the only thing I really fancied eating :o really not MSE but tasted really good.

Sorry to all the vegans ;)

Will save the soup for tomorrow ;)

RS - I like the Aldi be light bacon - but OH prefers Sainsbugs be good to yourself medallions as they are a bit more smoked - so tend to buy them to keep him happy ;)

Thanks to all that have welcomed me and get well soon to NewlyWed!

I really think it helps to write things down as many of you seem to do to keep on track so here's mine...

Breakfast - Tesco mini wheat things with cranberry in them, tiny splash of milk (can't stand the stuff but can't eat the cereal dry, so I scoop the cereal out of the milk and then the dog gets the leftover liquid! Am I odd?!)

Lunch - Savoury rice and grapes

Dinner - probably 2 quorn sausages, new potatoes and baked beans

Snack - banana if hungry, maybe a Mullerrice to use them up as an evening treat after weigh in

Will report back tomorrow with the dreaded first weigh in and an assessment of the damage/task ahead!

    Thanks again
    Rachel.

Welcome Rachel:j If you don't like milk try mixing a muller yogurt into your cereal, it tastes nice and gives you a bit of calcium!

    .

It wasn't in today's post
I did it a couple of years ago, I put the scales away and did the 90 days and really enjoyed it :D I wasn't good every day but I filled the journal in every night. At the end I was 2lbs off my target and was delighted...............then it was Christmas and I lost the plot again:mad:

I've been for a swim at lunchtime though!!

  • I'm jumping in here in an effort to shed the baby weight....the baby is 8 in April

I got down to WW Goal weight in June 2000 and by August was pregnant! I've been saying I've got to shed 2 stone for about 7 years now and enough is enough. I've tried every "diet" under the sun. One of the Mum's at school has lost about 4 stone over the last 12 months and I asked her how she'd done it....her response was "you told me how"....I was gobsmacked! Apparently I'd said to her that the secret is "eat less move more" and that's what she's been doing....how embarrasing :D So, now I'm going to apply a bit of my own common sense to my life.

I've joined the Flylady thread to spruce up my house and I'm here to spruce up me :T

I'm not sure how much needs to go, but I need a healthy BMI and fat % as I'm apple shaped with a history of heart disease in the family.......oh, and I'm 40 in January and will not be fat and forty

Wish me luck and I think that posting a food diary may just stop me stuffing my face with rubbish at every given opportunity :D

    Today I have eaten:

B - medium bowl of Crunchy Nut Nutty with skimmed milk
L - prawn and mango salad .....very yummy
I've had 3 large glasses of water so far today, one penguin biscuit, a banana and a Skinny Cow mocha :T

D - is to be a spaghetti bolognese and a muller light yoghurt.
    Start weight: 12st 5lb Body Fat 36% BMI 27.9 (9/3/09)
    16/3/09 - 12st 2½lb -2½lbs off :T

Target: Body Fat 30% BMI 25

Rachel - I can't stand milk (or cream) and it gives me eczema anyway so I either eat cereal dry - cinnamon grahams is best for that - or else use rice milk. My sister uses apple or orange juice on her muesli but I'm not quite that weird ;)
