    morning all!

    weekend off:j :j :j

going food shopping later so not sure whats for tea yet.
Last night I had another very small tea(compared to usual) and my IBS was fine again:j so hopefully smaller portions are they key. This is ok when at home but I'll struggle to leave food on my plate when I'm eating out.

B - 2 small WM toast with marmalade

L - jacket spud, cheese and salad

    D ?

snacks - mullerlight, banana, ryvita goodness bar.

    Have a good weekend all

PS - RS - hope DD is feeling better now x
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Wow - what a dedicated hard core band of "losers" you are :-)

Grateful and Vixtress - well done for losing and Wyrdsister well done for exercising.

Taplady - glad your GP gave you helpful advice!

Frogga and 4Moneysaving - thanks for your honesty about binging.

I was normal weight until 2 years ago when I lost control of normal portion size.

I have been kidding myself by eating home cooked veggie food, never touching a burger, but can happily eat a whole tray of muffins or quiche on my own and have to make more for husband :-(

Going vegan should help by cutting out the butter, sugar and eggs I used.

I know vegan recipes exist , but I want to re-educate myself back to normal
portion sizes & I know I have to avoid "treats" at the moment and focus on nutrition.

Stayed on plan yesterday despite being very hungry at 9pm.
I was planning 2 slices of bread for breakfast today, so had one last night and the other this morning - so much better than 6 slices with lashings of butter which I would have done if I had not joined this thread.

Going to try a recipe from a Tesco mag using tofu instead of cheese today - will post it if it is nice.

    Best wishes to all!

Thanks for the heads up wyrdsister! The star jumps nearly killed me but I got through it! For some reason I picked a 45 min workout for Saturdays but after the 15 mins was pretty intense... I'm a bit scared! It's really good though! I'm glad I bought it!

RS - love the fact that we both make splenda versions of twinks hobnobs!!

Well I lost 3 pounds!! :j That's in a week and a half. I ate some pizza last night so i've got to be good today. I'll try and persuade my mate to walk to the charity shops at the other end of town so that's some extra exercise for me!

Right I'm off to find some ingredients for my Saturday baking! Bring on the abba and cooking! (I sing to abba while I bake lol!)

  • Evening all,
Breakfast was scrambled eggs on WM toast, there was a milky coffee at 11am and a WM ham salad sarnie for lunch. Not sure what dinner will be just yet as we're off to the local pub to celebrate my fella's DDs achieving their red belts at Karate. I shall steer clear of the booze this evening as 'social drinking' is one of the new habits that I have aquired since we got together. I am sure that cutting this down dramatically will help. Just coz he has a drink doesn't mean I have to as well.

Hope everyone has had a lovely day, spring is certainly trying to emerge.
It's up to me now and nobody else.

    Some real inspriration here:)

I started a dieting last week. I have pledged to support a colleague and friend who is giving up smoking by giving up my 'bad habit' of overeating. I need to loose 22lb. I have lost 2lb so far. The weekend is more of a struggle than the week was. It is really important to me to stick to my promise to support her.

All my shopping/cooking is OS, so I guess this is perfect for me :)

It is a long time since I have dieted properly and would really appreciate any help.

    Today I have eaten:

    Breakfast: porridge and skimmed milk
    snacks: 3 carrots
lunch: homemade split pea soup, 2 slices of a small hm wholemeal loaf and an apple.
Dinner: made quorn mince and was going to have with cabbage and new potatoes. Was very silly and had a bowl of special K and skimmed milk and another 2 slices of hm wholemeal bread with a smear of utterly butterly. Ate a banana for pudding.

Realised after silly dinner choice that I would need help:o :o:o
  • Hello everyone! Well done to Spugz:T Vixtress:T and Grateful:T on the good losses and Frogga:T for not bingeing!

Welcome Prudent and any other newbies!

I have been lurking for a couple of days:o - guess why?

DD1 has had her test results and the doctor says that they are all normal. He says because of her age he won't refer her to a gastroenterologist for a camera examination, but I am not really happy with that because she wasn't imagining the blood and we still haven't got an explanation as to what caused it so I have told her to go back and tell them that her Grandmother and two great Aunts died of bowel cancer, one other Aunt also had it but recovered and I had a polyp removed a few years ago, which if left could have turned nasty, and see if he will at least refer her to see if it is in the family. She is recovered now though so I don't know if she will go, and I can't make her....

Food has been pretty rubbish and I haven't lost any weight for about 3 weeks now. I REALLY need to get back on the wagon - I am so pleased that Frogga has managed to do so well and I should follow her lead but I seem to be constantly looking for something to eat. At the moment it is PMS (its just started TOTM) and that makes me crave sweet things. The hypnotherapy didn't work (shocker) so now I know that it is me and me alone who can change the way I eat. I always feel full of good intentions when I come on here but then when I am out or fed up I pick at all kinds of stuff, plus my portions, even when I'm sticking to a plan, are too big.

Oh well, it's the last day of the month so I am going to be Marvellous in March! My marvellous in March target is 14lbs, which, given that I am probably full of water retention at the moment, is eminently do-able. Is anyone else up for a challenge?

awww sorry JANE for your troubles! at least your DD is back to normal and you never know she'll go and get it checked after all! friends2.gif
maybe try to prepare things in advace like all the snacks and treats (limited) and stick to the amount you've put out! when the bowl is empty that's it for the day. snacks obviously 'healthy' ones - i do like carrots at the moment :D
i don't think i can do 14lb in a month  - but i'll try 7lbs for a starter and see how i get on with it ...

well, i haven't weighed myself since coming on here but i am thinking of having a peek whilst i'll do my wii fit later
i think i've been good and looking at my food diary it's not too bad either - i am deffo not snacking as much and do think twice before i eat something
