Well I gained 2 lbs this week, totally expected since I went so far off the rails last week I was practically on another planet!
Think I am ok now so will try and do better this week, I really need to!
MarionWhen life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
hello everyone!
Sorry I haven't popped in for a while! I've been preparing for scary meeting at work which always stresses me out but it was this morning and all went well! yay me!
After some long nighs at work and the worry I think I've actually lost weight! Hazzah! I'm not weighing myself until Fri tho!
So what shall I have for dinner? I had HM lamb casserole yesterday which as good. Maybe prawns that I got on whoopsie a while back?? I might just make a simple pasta dish as payday isn't until Fri. I'm also going to have some port to celebrate the end of 3 weeks of stress!
EDT: Forgot to say, the milkman gave me some free samples of yakult this week and tehy were yum. Does anyone drink them regularly and do you notice a difference?House saving Targets:

afternoon everyone.
marion, comisserations on the gain, its not as bad when its expected though, its always worse when youve tried really hard and have a gain
spagzbunny, enjoy the port, sounds like youve deserved it, glad youre meeting went well.
well today is not going at all well, i think its definately psychological. its shrove tuesday, will be having pancakes for dessert, and i have decided to give up 'sweet stuff' for lent. i'm not going to give up sugar as thats too restrictive but all cakes, biscuits, chocolate  and sweets will have to go! basically any puds with the exception of fruit and yoghurt
because of this i felt totally justified in having the creme egg that slipped into my basket this morning, i also made the mistake of shopping whilst really hungry. not good
sooo today is...
sugar free museli
spicy chicken spring roll (that shopping whilst hungry thing)
not very nice pre-packed hoisin duck wrap (didnt have time to plan lunch!)
cadburys creme egg
dinner will probably be turkey meat loaf, roasted artichokes and kale followed by pancakes with lemon and sugar(if the kids have already eaten it may just be pancakes for dinner
)
told you it wasnt good!- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Hello everyone - well done to the losers and commiserations to Marion on the gain but as long as you know why you have put on it is easier to come to terms with I think.
My eating was nuts yesterday but today has been better.
Breakfast - 2 small wm rolls with a rasher of grilled bacon and 2 chipolata sausages
Lunch - curried chicken salad with jacket potato, followed by fresh strawberries and blueberries
Snack - bag of Aldi low fat crisps and cup of coffee
Dinner - is likely to be hm beef casserole with carrot and swede mash. I have just made the pancake batter but TBH pancakes aren't really something I like so I might give them a miss and just have a mullerlight choc chop yoghurt.
DD went to the GP yesterday and he did some blood and stool tests and we will get the results tomorrow - depending on what they show she may have to have a scope test for colitis etc.
I went to a hypnotherapist/NLP practitioner this morning to see if it would help with my eating and I am unsure whether or not I thought it was any good. It wasn't very MSE at £180:eek: and in the middle of the hypnotism bit I had a panic attack - I didn't like the feeling, but it only lasted a minute and the guy said that sometimes people can experience that when they start to "let go" - I has left me feeling a bit wierd though and don't know if I want to have it done again. I haven't binged since though so....:rotfl:
The curried chicken salad I made was really really nice and so simple to make - it was just a cooked chicken breast, chopped up with 2 spring onions, a chopped apple and about halved black grapes, dressing was 2tbs Hellmanns extra light mayo, 2 tbs Heinz extra light salad cream, 1tbs lemon juice, salt and pepper and about 1 dsp curry powder and about 1 tbs of mango chutney. This made enough for DD2's packed lunch and my lunch and there is enough left to do a sandwich for DD2 tomorrow.
Hope you all have a nice evening!Jane

Hi all, hope everyone is having a nice pancake day
RS hope your daughter gets stuff sorted and that chicken salad sounds yummy! Will have to try that with some fake chicken (sacriledge)
Decided to give up fizzy juice for lent even though i'm in no way religious. I'm not much of a chocolate or sweet lover, i rarely eat cakes and since starting to lose weight I haven't eaten any crisps either so wanted to go for something challenging for me. Hoping this will get me drinking more water and generally weaning me off caffeine from diet coke etc! This also means no lemonade in my favourite southern comfort, eek!
Food for today:
Breakfast - Muesli and Soya Milk
Lunch - Panini with cheese and tomato
Dinner - Going to be some noodle stir fry with some pancakes afterwards and lots of diet coke before I have to give it up!
Snacks - "Brazilian" smoothie - Papaya, Mango, Pineapple Orange and Banana
Have a nice evening everyone, wish me luck on my first attempt at homemade pancakesReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time0 -
Hi all,
Just holding it together today, really fed up at the moment but don't really know why
Didn't enjoy my dinner as I was really over-hungry and just cooked the first thing I got my hands on to stop me eating big peanut butter and jam sandwiches!
B: A skinny latte and an apple
L: Indian veg soup, banana and satsumaWholemeal pasta pesto with a little grated parmesan and peas and a big side salad
Not having any pancakes as I don't see the point in making them just for me, OH is working so I suppose on the plus side I won't over-indulge
This week will be tough as there are a few 'do's' on that I have to go to and one leaving meal on Saturday so I will see how it goes.0 -

Hello all. Weighed myself today convinced I would be 14 stone something but I was 13 stone 9 so not quite as bad as it could be after the rubbish eating lately. Got slightly back on track today but the week-long PMT seems to be reaching its peak and felt so lousy it was difficult to concentrate on calorie counting. Went for two good walks though, and wrestled with installing a safety gate for an hour which must have burnt off a few calories just with swearing.
Food today:
Breakfast: blackberries, muesli (300 cals)
Snack: banana (70)
Lunch: quorn fillet, salad, veg (400)
Dinner: cheese on toast (600)
snack: 2 toasts and marmite (300)
So looks like 1700-1800 cals today. Will try and cut down tomorrow and keep active.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
