There is already a weight loss thread. You will find it here hopefully a board guide will merge the two.

    Hi lbt,

As taplady has said, we have an existing weightloss thread where other old style dieters post their meal plans and give one another support so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.

  • Yesterday's nosh

No breakfast -bad Thriftlady, but in my defence I will say I got up late and thought I'd be better waiting for lunch rather than eating when I wasn't hungry.

Lunch -veg soup plus 2 white rolls warm from the oven with butter. Should have had one roll but they were sooo good:o

Tea- Slice of cold pork, half a baked potato, loads of green salad, some avocado and some frozen soya beans (don't think I'll bother with these again-expensive and tasteless).

    Big bowl of fruit salad

    Later -half bottle of red
another roll with butter and a bit of golden syrup -oops

    OK, today's rough plan is

    yogurt and rhubarb

hummus on ryvita + mackerel on ryvita, carrot + cucumber
    fruit

chickpea and veg stew with couscous, salad
    fruit

    NO ALCOHOL

RS -I do hope your dd is OK, sounds traumatic.

    Hi all,

Been busy this weekend so I haven't posted very much. Saturday I prefer not to think about but then I knew it would be as we were having curry and dessert, at least I stopped when I was full :o

Yesterday was fine, a nice lie in then our usual brunch of toasted ciabatta with mozarella and pesto then a roasted veg lasagne with lots of salad for tea.

I am hoping that this week I can really kick start things a bit more as I am fed up of the sinking feeling when I weigh every week and see no change

B: Porridge with skimmed milk and water

    L: Lentil soup

D: Leftover lasagne and lots of salad

S: A skinny cappuccino later today

Have a fab week all :D

    Morning guys :hello:

    I'm very pleased to report a 1lb loss :T :T :T

Well, shocked might be a better word seeing as how I was so rubbish at the weekend!

    Todays plan,
B: Porridge with raisins, cranberries and soya milk
L: HM brocolli and cauliflower soup, 1 slice HM granary bread and a plain salad
    D: Shepherdess pie, yoghurt
    Snacks: Fruit

Exercise  I might go for a walk at lunchtime but I will get back to proper exercise this week, planning an early morning swim tomorrow!

firstly RS, i hope your daughter is improving and that youve got some help from the GP.
rockie, well done on your loss!!

not doing too bad today, i am still feeling pretty motivated which, after almost 2 months is a real acheivement for me. i really do feel that this is is no small part due to the support from this thread :T
am still considering what, if anything to give up or do for lent. any suggestions most welcome.
    today is looking like this.

breakfast: hi-fibre musli (?sp) shock horror, ran out of bread for toast. i did enjoy it though
lunch, left over spag bol with added lentils
dinner, not sure, may have potato, spinach and pea curry that i made yesterday with chappati (this prob isnt as healthy as it sounds, but is yummy)
i may have a couple of thin oatcakes with l f philly to 'put me on' before dinner. and there may be a square or 2 of green & blacks.

have a good day everyone xx

Rubbish weekend, too much booze, croissants, bread and biscuits. Then this morning it was just me and the baby and a hangover so all the leftovers got consumed in a carb binge.

Hmmm, will I ever learn how to eat normally? Dread to think what I weigh now, don't dare find out - was bad enough having photos taken this weekend and cringing when I saw my double chins and belly come up on the laptop screen. :o
2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher
  • Not taken my measurements for a while but I don't think there will be much change due to the fact that I've been mostly good with a few bad days but I've been injured so have missed a couple of training sessions.

Although I've decided that my challenge for 2009 will be to run a 10K! (I did a 5K last year) so will be starting training very soon so at least that will help balanace out any bad days!
