Morning all!
Marion - you lucky thing - NY - very exciting!
Am trying to get back on the wagon today after a very dodgy few days. I'm going to try a recipe from the Somerfield Magazine called Tuscan bean soup which looks easy but yummy and has 3 of your 5 a day in it (free on SW green apart from a veg stock cube) I'll let you know how it goes.
B - wholemeal toast and marmalade(in bed with my book:D )
S - banana
L -Tuscan bean soup
S - yoghurt
d - salmon fillet with roasted veggies
have a great day all
Take care xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
I am off to weigh in this morning at my local Boots and find out the damage. I haven't got weighed since before Christmas so I know it won't be good.
I have been better with my meals this week and have eaten at least 3 times a day which is good going for me - normally manage one meal and several snacks (read muffins, chocolate, crisps etc ) I'm hoping not to be over 20 stone again but think I may be
Fingers crossed for me please, K x:xmastree:Merry Christmas0 -

Hello everyone!
Good Luck Kitty!
Weel I'm pleased to report a 1Ib loss. I did then have a fair few biscuits to celebrate but hopefully I can be good for the rest of the week! I've worked out I've got 2 months to lose a stone so I have to be good! I'm doing the moonwalk in May so my 'training' starts this week. Lost of long walks and wii fitting!
I did some batch cooking yesterday. I cooked a huuuuuuge amount of my fave chilli! It works out at 1.5 WW points for a huge serving! I use 1 300g bag of quorn mince, 1 large red onion, garlic, chillis - all in a pan for a bit then add 1 grated carrot, some mushrooms, a tin of beans (I used berlotti this time but butterbean is nice too), green beans, 2 tins of chopped toms, a huge dollap of tomato paste and loads of chilli powder, cumin and ground corriander! Yum!
I also cooked a lamb casserole yesterday! I found some lamb shoulder fillets on whoopsie and some whoopsie casserole veg and whoopsie rosemary! Brill! I spent ages getting all the fat off the lamb which seems like such a waste! Cat turned his nose up at the spare meat though! I just coated the lamb in some seasoned flour, browned and put it to slow cook in the oven with some lamb stock, tomato paste, a cup of red wine and the rosemary. Half an hour before the end I added the veg. It's yum but I really should have put the rosemary in a pair of old tights (hehe!) as it would prevented it breaking up.
Anyways I hope you all had a nice Valentines day! Speak soon! xHouse saving Targets:

ooh New York - you'll have to watch the portion sizes over there - it's unbelieveable - one morning I wasn't feeling partularly hungrey so I thought I'll just have a muffin (we were in diner), I'm not joking it was about 4 inches high and the same wide  . I did look at it rather open mouthed!
Anyway I digress. I was having a bad week, a build up of some health problems, general blurghness as I don't do winter very well and the gippy tummy from having milk  . Anyway - I gave myself a good talking to on Friday and have adopted a more positive mindset. I had signed myself for the race for life a few weeks ago and I am determined to run it as I had to stop running about 18 mths ago, had an op last year and now I'm back trying to get fit... anyway that whole build up was to say that I decided to go for a bit of a run today. I did think maybe I should walk it and see how it goes, but then I decided to run and see how far I could go (not expecting to get very far :rotfl: ) Well I did a short circuit (1.35miles) and I ran the whole way and it took me just under 15mins - I was well chuffed :T . This has really put a spring in my step and I am going to build on this slowly and I hope to run the 5ks on the 31st May in under 30 mins (its cross country with some hills so will be pushing close!)
So if it sounds like I'm not doing any training - you are all allowed to shout at me!
Good luck to everyone facing weigh ins!0 -
Hi all,
Been busy today making my first ever pan of chicken stock. tut tut I know, just never seem to have time or space in the freezer for bones but we had a lovely roast yesterday so I thought it was worth a try.
Planning on using it for a chilli chicken ramen next week once I have reduced it a bit
B: 2 wholemeal toast with marmalade (HM)
L: Roast chicken sandwich on wholemealFish pie (HM) made with smoked haddock, pollack and prawns yummmm served with cabbage, carrots, peas, cauli and green beans
S: A small piece of cherry pie
Lots of lovely food today but smaller portions so I don't have to cut corners with omitting butter from sauces or lard from pastryI would rather not eat something than have a 'thin' version made with chemicals and additives

Good morning.
I have been stepping on and off the scales all morning, I think they are broke as they are only showing 11st 2lb, a 3lb loss. I keep trying to catch them out, but it reads the same. I'm very pleased but fearful, if not careful it will be a gain next week so I need to focus focus focus, get walking and keep with the smaller portions. No junk at work, if boss doesn't get the message that's her problem, I moved a big jar of sweets off my desk and got a sharp rebuke, "they're for everyone not just you", "good," said I, "put them on someone elses desk then as I don't want them." She fills the jar with choc eclairs as she knows I love them. I will resist. I got my pedometer working again, I did 30K steps overall last week, not good especially as I did 12K on Sunday alone. I really need to make a much bigger effort to ensure I get my 5K a day, my aim is to build up to 10K a day in stages so more effort required.
taplady how was the tuscan bean soup?
KITTY welcome
