    Try not to feel too disappointed. People on here were genuinely trying to help. Problem was it was not until late in the thread that it became clear you are in the U.S. Our system of registering vehicles is obviously very different to yours particularly with respect to proof of ownership and caused a lot of confusion. This site is full of good and helpful advice on almost any subject imaginable. Feel free to come back if you think it might be useful. Just state at the outset that you are in the U.S. Good luck with the car sale.

    there is only one spot that said UK and nothing saying it was only UK
