    tell me about it!

she actually raised the price I owe her by a couple of hundred, but nothing I can do, she has the title and there was no contract so she can do whatever she wants

so with having the option of selling and giving her what she wants, and getting alittle bit back from what I was paying on it is not too bad, as long as Im out from under her wing and dont owe her anything, and the buyer has the title, we are all happy!
Now this is just getting out of hand. I am afraid that I smell a rat in all of this somewhere, and it "ain't" with the first buyer.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

how do you figure, just because my mother wants more than she is owed?

thats what the first guy was supposed to pay her, everything she wants

    and hasnt done that!

    so where is the rat?

if I sell to the other guy then I got the money to give to her, I get the title then take it to the guy!

and the first guy gets his money back!

not quite sure where you are getting the impression that you are getting

  • well I am taking a big loss on this but I dont care as long as I dont have to be under my mothers wing owing her money!

which should have been already done, so thats why I want to sell to the other guy, cash in hand! no run arrounds!

thanks, thats what I will do come monday

I'll show up at this guys place when I go up to my mothers house to get the title, and instead of the vehicle I will have his deposit, and a form stating why I am giving him his deposit instead of the vehicle

I thought he was 200 miles away

he is 200 miles away, and so is my mother, he lives the next town over from her

the other guy is much closer, but with him giving cash in hand I can deliver it, then go the rest of the way to my mothers house, get the title, and drop the title off at the other guys house on the way home
  • Whats the big sodding thing with the "title"? Are you referring to the V5...?!

I'm very lost and to be honest, past caring with this one now lol

So the buyer gave you the deposit, and now you've driven the car 200 miles
    away from him?

I'd not accept the car until I had signed the V5
