Health in pregnancy grant

Can we all try and keep this thread bumped so that everyone can see it and let people know
http://campaigns.direct.gov.uk/money4mum2be/
Your EDOC must be 6.04.09 or later and you can claim from 25wks....and they are accepting claims now. You need to get a form from your midwife. This hasnt been very well advertised so but there is bound to be a rush in claims so if you can may well be worth getting in early.0 -
Mrs to be; bumping is against the rules
I have "rated" this thread so hopefully it will make it into martin's mailout but its been mentioned a few times in the pregnancy club so most of the pregnant ladies on MSE know about it now0 -

Is bumping a thread 'against the rules'? Perhaps you could show me the bit of the rules where this is as I've obviously missed something.
Also I do hope this makes Martin's email as the number of pregnant women who read the email are probably significantly larger than those who post on this board.:j Go on, shake your money maker! :j0 -
We sure it's just for England? All the articles I have read haven't specified?0

No bumping isn't against the rules, well I dont think it is anyway.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

oops! seems bumping is only not allowed in the comps bit of forum, my apologies :A
I'm seeing the MWs after my scan 2mo, gonna ask her for a form so I'll report back on my findings:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
never mind that ...
what about this
From April 2009, expectant mothers in England would receive a one-off payment from their 29th week of pregnancy to encourage them to eat well
So do expectant mothers in Scotland , Ireland and Wales not deserve it?
Checking on one of the other links posted it states that the grant is available to residents of the UK. See here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/hipg/do-you-qualify.htm
Thanks to everyone posting about this.0 -
Well the midwife I saw after my scan had no idea what the HiPG was!
Hopefully the community MW I see at GPs in a few weeks will have the forms, why we can't print them off ourselves and just get them signed is beyond me!0
