I think this is a brilliant idea. We are unlikely to qualify though as due date is 21/3/09, could try crossing my legs. Decided not to find out if we're having a boy/girl.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I heard That this grant was avaliable to all expectant mothers with a due date from the 6th April 2009 (inc) or afterwards, and it didnt matter if u gave birth early as long as on ur form ur EDD was from the 6/04/2009.
I have been to my midwife today and I asked her about it and she didnt seem to have a clue what I was on about, she ended up giving me the forms for free milk, fruit n veg vouchers.
So I was wanting to know if any1 one knows where I get the forms from for this HiPG.
Thanks0 -
OK I had a letter the other day from the child benefit office to notify me of child benefit going up and on the back at the bottom it mentions the health in pregnancy grant (HiPG), for any1 who doesn't claim child benefit at the minute I will write what it says re: HiPG
"The new Health in Preganancy Grant (HiPG) will be payable to to expectant mums from 6 April 2009. The HiPG payable from the 25th week of pregnancy, will be a lump sum payment towards the costs of staying healthy in the run up to birth. Further information about the grant will be available at www.direct.gov.uk from January 2009."
I hope this helps0 -
Just thought i'd bump this thread.
Was looking for info on MA and came accross this
http://www.disabilityalliance.org/f42.htm
To phase in the administration of the new payment, if you are expected to give birth on or after 6 April 2009 you will be able to make a claim from 1 January 2009.
You can get the claim form for HIPG (from January 2009) from your midwife or other health professional. You must return the form, within 31 days of the date of the certificate signed by the health professional, to
HMRC
Comben House
Farrier's Way
Netherton
Merseyside
(other offices may be specified at a later date)
The amount you will receive is a one off payment of £190.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0
