Did that one a few years back (without the mountain bike), a family-arranged surprise birthday outing.

We sat at the front, now that was seriously scary!
It's a bad trip that old rattler.

    Icesaver signing on

Not been around for a few days.

    Hope everyone is OK.
Celebrated the return of my Icesave funds with an all you can eat Chinese buffet on Saturday night. I was still full on Sunday!
    Also had the odd

Now down to the hard work of finding where to put the money, and await the ISA certificate as I watch ISA rates tumbling. I see NR no longer offering the 5% fixed, only the 4.9% fixed which I was thinking of going for anyway. What's the betting that disappears before the ISA certificate arrives. Also noted Nat West is now only 4.41% AER to 5.07% AER quite a drop from the 7.32% of a few weeks ago :embarasse

Worryingly the rates at Saga for telephone and postal accounts just went down a lot, I therefore have a feeling that the internet based one may come down shortly: http://www.saga.co.uk/money-shop/savings.asp

I went to one. Right at the end of the line of dishes was a large cast iron casserole dish. Suddenly the lid lifted slightly and a pair of small beady eyes stared back at me from out the gloom. The lid then dropped back down. Almost immediately the lid rose again, the pair of beady eyes looked at me, and the lid went back down. Panic-stricken I summoned the waiter. "No worries," he said "It's just the peeking duck"

    I am sooooooooo sorry :o

So I said to the waiter 'Oi mate, this Duck's rubbery!'

And he smiled and said 'Thank you sir!'

:j I'm there. My money is in my account thais morning. Couldn't sleep so have checked very early. Not only that I've done online transfers from my current account to a deposit account so that I'm earning interest waiting from my cheques to clear, which none have.

So apart from waiting another 2 years or so for a smaller amount to mature my nightmare is over :j .

Too early for a drink but I'm make sure I have one later :j !

Cheers all :T , and I hope anyone else who initiate late in the process is now in a similar situation to me.

    PS, did I mention :j :j :j :j :j ?

Hi there. Not been here for a couple of days as have a rotten fluey cold. Just wondering if there has been any sign of cheques for the paper-based folks? I'd like a guesstimate of how much longer I have to wait, basically!
