:wall: the name of the shop has eluded me! County Books? Shop with books that are remaindered or low budget reprints also have craft materials for little ones very inexpensive. Perhaps a big goodie box to share with craft stuff? Even the little one can do sponge painting (if mum helps ) and I have bought rolls of craft paper there.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

Morning all,
Really need to decide what to buy Ulick for Christmas, think maybe a new watch, he likes the one he has but can't read it in electric light, he got lots of smellies, jumpers and shirts for his birthday, and 3 new pairs of pyjamas while he was in hospital.
Going to give kitchen a going over to-day, it needs tidying and cleaning, if it doesn't rain might do windows and put up some kind of curtains...3 windows and glass in top of door...think that I have 'cafe' curtains somewhere if I can dig them out, don't want to spend money if I can help it...had to pay Ulick's hospital bill to-day and my car insurance is due next week, so that's almost €1000 gone...still haven't got bill from guy who did kitchen so am afraid to spend other than for necessities until that is sorted...then there are two weddings in next six weeks, have the money but want to hold on if I can
DD4 off to dentist in a bit, she is feeling guilty at taking time from her (unpaid) teaching practice, but this was only appointment she could get and she hasn't slept for two nights so I have told her to cop on.Bought a 'flora' recipe book in charity shop for 25c the other day so am going to try one of the recipes to-day for pork...its for chops but I have porksteak so wont be exactly the same, but hopefully will be nice
Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating, welcome to newbies and thank you for being my friends

Hello all,
I thought you'd had it too Soapy! Oh well, good luck with all your tips and tricks
Sorry to those who've been made redundant, I can vouch for the fact that the north east jobs market is rubbish atm. Been looking for a job for ages, start one in Jan at least though.
Well I've put the DW on so far and that's it, useless! Oh well, making a lasagne tonight to take to a friends tomorrow, also going to dip some hobnobs to take. I don't have any baking paper, do people think it would work if I greased some foil or cling film and left them to set on there?
Have barely bought any pressies, OH and I are going to make a list at the start of next week and get the things in we need, got three birthdays to buy for too. My sisters bday is a week before christmas eve, nightmare! I blame her for it, she was early, if she'd been born when she was supposed to we could get her pressies in the Jan sales, lol.
It's really dark here and been raining on and off all morning. Staying in the house today methinks. Must get on with some uni work anyways...
*huggles* to all who need/want them.0 -
