Morning all!
day off today:j am cleaning for Mum this morning, getting my nails done this afternoon then popping into the new Aldi's to see what bargains they have got.
Mum2g1b - sounds like you've got a busy day!
Essex girl - glad you and DD are feeling a bit better
Betheebee - take it easy!
(((hugs))) to Tristan, smoky, Candy girl, PP, Stef's DD and anyone I've forgotten x
OS - have got some butternut squash and sweet spud soup on the stove bubbling away for lunch with some 19p reduced rolls from the freezer(seeded torpedoes)
Take care all!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all
Never did get to catch up on posts yesterday after the dentist. Came home, went to sleep (fear always affects me that way) then hid myself within the pages of a good book until it was time for an early night. Would have liked to do some cross stitching in front of the TV but as usual there was nothing on but reality TV and/or rubbish.
Breakfast this morning was sweetcorn fritters (using up the rest of sweetcorn from yesterdays rolls) and baked beans.
Lunch boxes contain pitta bread filled with ham and salad, clementines and a bag of crisps (must do some baking this afternoon)
Dinner will be pasta of some kind with salad. There will be pudding butto what it is yet
Can everyone please cross all their fingers and toes for my DS2 ? He has woken up with what he calls "that grainy feeling" you get in your throat before a cold. There is a very nasty cold doing the rounds here and he is on stage tomorrow night in the lead part of the school play - which isn't just for the mums and dad's it is a whole town event that is always a great occasion (and famous locally) - in fact if you don't buy your tickets within a couple of days of them going on sale you don't get to go! Anyway he is the lead AND has to sing...he's been working SO hard, so please, please, please - let him not be poorly until Sunday.
Must try and have a look on the store cuboard challenge thread later. Seems I no sooner try and join in on something when life takes over and I end up going MIA from whichever thread I am trying to join in with. Either that or I post on a thread and it dies a death. But I'm not paranoid - really, honestly I'm not.;)
Right - must go feed the cat, make the bed, wash and dress (don't think gingham pyjamas are the in thing in office wear this season) and cram in whatever chores I can before 8.45am.
Have a nice OS day everyone.People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading
The difference between a misfortune and a calamity is this: If Gladstone fell jnto the Thames it would be a misfortune. But if someone dragged him out again, that would be a calamity - Benjamin Disreali0 -

BB how old are they?
Are there any nice freebies about on the freebie board,or would they appreciate something homemade?
I'm stuck for my neice and nephew this year (9 and 12)as they have everything...so I'm doing them mini hampers with all little bits in (favourite sweets, hair gel, pretty hair bits for my neice and a snuggly scarf each I just add bits each week when I see something I think they'll like)
I'll wrap them all individually and 'hide' them inside shredded paper in a huge box so they have to hunt around for everything

Here's how she made them BB they look brilliant don't they? I might have to add them to my To Do list for my two and my boys.:T
Hope you feel a bit brighter soon,I think a lot of people are feeling extremely low this year with all the uncertainty over jobs etc. It's cold and wet here too and that alone does nothing to raise the spirits either!0
