Everyone is doing great! I'm only £100 down, will be a bit more when direct debits come off at end of the month.. I've just worked out that to pay off the rest of £10k by next Christmas I need an average of just under £27 a day - blimey, thinking cap on! :eek:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

More expenses in for DH - so another 1K extra on the CC!
Capital repaid so far: £2635/ £15000 - yippee!!
Another good note is that DH was being made redundant as at 31st Dec- but now has reprieve for 3-4 months! Yes!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Sorry, slightly over excited, ive been through and looked at all of my finances and all of the options and have just cleared my credit card and overdraft with a loan.
I know its not for everyone and im just waiting for the payment to clear so that i can get the cc closed but doing this has brought my DFD forward by 3 whole years.
Just by making the standard monthly payments i will be debt free in 2014.
I am no worse off a month for changing this as i was making a standard overpayment on the credit which matches the monthly repayment that i will need to make on the loan and this includes the overdraft!!!
So now, its time to crack on with the challenge and to chuck everything that i can into my saver to try and make an overpayment on the car next year - my regular payments will be £330 a month giving me £3948 in regular payments - so i need to try and make/save £6000 - if i can do this then i will be able to clear the finance on the car completely.
Now, where can i sell myself to make some cash???0 -
I decided to hit the bank before I went shopping today just in case I got toooo carried away. Paid £147.00 off both my CC's didn't want to pay anymore than this because I was due my tax bill.
When I arrived back home, my tax bill was waiting for me and for much more than I was expecting!. They have adjusted my bill, at least I have the funds however may not have as much to pay off my debt untill after January.
On a brighter note recieved £30.00 for doing some MS jobs.Mortgage £25,789.17/£24,918.14/£22,921.47
Pay off £20k by Xmas 2010 - £16,360.000 -

Some fantastic figures there, considering it is a difficult time of year - you will all be hitting your targets, NO PROBLEM!!

Feeling a bit up and down at the moment! I am only going to be able to pay minimum payments I think this month! I got my new mortgage today (this is the good news - I have waited bout 6 months for it all to be sorted) Which means my ex no longer owns half the house - but I had to pay £460 in shortfall (admin fee 2 late payment fees caused by ex) and phoned Lloyds to find out when new mortgage payment will be due and how much - 1st of Jan and includes 19-31st Dec plus Jans paymant - so £1097 instead of £860! Add all this ontop of Christmas and a 5 week month and there is not much left for overpayments! Will need to play with the figures and work out exactly what I need for the rest of the month!0
