  • Well, 19 days into the challenge and I have totally mucked it up!!! This is what I was afraid of and is the reason why I haven't joined any other challenges in the past.

I am hopeless when it comes to recording things. I have paid all the bills etc (no extras tho), I just haven't recorded them.

I think I will start again on 1st January. I will spend a couple of days over the Christmas period fixing loose ends up and then start afresh.

Would that be ok with you guys?

  • I have been lurking for a few months now but this is the first time I've plucked up enough courage to post. Thank you all for helping me through a difficult time. Please can I join this challenge as my debts (with OH combined) come to a whopping £72,080.92. Will start a diary soon and also post a SAO.

  • Has anyone just watched BBC news, a lady has just been on who is living on a budget of £1 a day (not including bills) and said that over a year she found £117 just lying around in the street. This would get my debt paid in no time!
    Debts all paid!!!:j

There was a thread around on here about it some time ago - I think she had her rent and bills already accounted for so it was just a case of managing each day on £1 for food. She used to find gallery openings and things where she could get free nibbles! The £117 is a little misleading because one day she found a large amount that someone had lost, handed it in to the police and they said she could keep it, but I think she gave it to charity instead? Something like that anyway!

  • Hi everyone.

I've paid something at last! Still can't add it to my signature, because I need to wait until I know how much interest is added, but at least I'm off the starting blocks (by about £70).

I won't pay anything else now until after Xmas (anyone else just want Xmas to be over so you can get on with things or am I just a miserable so-and-so :rotfl: ).

    Well done everyone.

polly, I was just thinking about what my targets for Jan 2009 are - I can't wait for it to arrive either - not that I'm wishing my life away or anything, I just want to be closer to my DFD!!
