:hello: Morning!
Lesley I know how you feel, this will be my 3rd day of waiting in for a M & S delivery! If it isn't here today there will be words! Penny got another early walk as deliveries are from 7.30 to 6pm. She is not too well today, constant rumbly tummy and eating grass but her nose is cold, so hopefully it will sort itself out, keeping an eye on her though.
I need to make a batch of soup today in the slowcooker, which narrowly escaped destruction yesterday, after I discovered some leftover bolognaise had been slowly welding itself to the inside after 3 days of being left on! Thank goodness for stardrops and the power of soaking.
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Twink - have a lovely day!
Veg box delivery today so I must get my green bags (Lakeland stayfresh) at the ready!
Have a lovely day! Stay warm

Morning all
Haven't had chance to read anything on this site for days....have to go to the dentist for a huge filling this afternoon (I am VERY scared of the dentist after a couple of traumatic visits when I was a child) so plan on have a catch up reading session on here afterwards as a reward.
Breakfast was toast and fruit
Packed lunches are HM bread rolls with a filling of sweetcorn and cheese (filling put in before rolls were baked), HM chocolate cake and clementines
Dinner is a mix of things I want to use up from fridge and freezer so chili stuffed baked peppers and rice for DH and DD2, Individual HM quiche with rice for DS2 and probably porridge for me if mouth still numb. Jelly for pudding.
Was up at 4 am - roaring sound in water pipes got us up. Could hear rushing water outside but no trace of a leak inside. Eventually traced the running water to a broken stopcock in pavement outside next door's house. Phoned water company who said they would be out this morning to fix leak but that we needn't worry about roaring in pipes as due to vibration......All very well for her to say but was like living in a drum so had to turn our water off to get any sleep :eek:
Right - time I was giving the cat a cuddle and getting myself off to the office.
Have a nice day all.People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

I have a great gadget I picked up for a £1 at local bargain place- it has a spray bit in the handle so you squirt, sponge then squeegee all in one!!! I hate cleaning windows so any labor saving is great!!
Pork chops into slow cooker later with mash and Boston Baked beans for tea!
Laundry is washed but needs throwing on airer and radiators- have not used the T/D for about 5 days now!! Woohoo!

Morning all,
It's been raining here most of the day. Done a few things in kitchen this morning, made a yoghurt cake, passionfruit cordial & sorted tea out. I also cut out a Morsbag. DGS arrived just after lunch & wasn't well. 5 mins after his mother went he vomited all over me & himself. He was sick again but has managed to keep some scrambled egg down for tea. He hasn't got a temp, must just have a tummy bug. Sound asleep now but not too sure how the night will go. I can see a tired Ninny in the morning.
DH has the day off tomorrow. So he plans to finish a few jobs down at XDIL's house. While DGS was sleeping this arv I managed to sew the bag up. Didn't take long at all & worked out the first time. Most amazing for me.I'd really recommend to make them.
Twink :bdaycake: Happy 80th.
Beth Hope all goes well.
taurus Good luck. I hate dentists too.
Steph Sorry to hear it was bad news. I hope she copes well.
moiliere Do you have good veins? I know you won't get the results back for a while but fingers crossed.
Well off for a surf & then might watch some telly. Think House is on tonight. <hugs> to those not well. Hope you all have a lovely day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all.
Feeling very poorly today so not much OSing for me. Have managed to put the caserole beef in the slow cooker so dinner is at least sorted.
House is a tip there is no clean cutlery but I am off to my bed for a while as feeling rotten. Will hopefully get some dishes done later if not DH will need to do when he gets home from work.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Edit to say. DS was dry last night so no bedding to wash thankfully. He was very pleased with himself shouting dry pants mum when he got up.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Happy birthday to Twink,
may your hobnobs not sink,
get lots of nice pressies
and have a nice drink!
Beth will be at the hospital now - thinking of her.
Doh! Forgot to see who set their alarm to be first this morning :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sorry - I just think this is so funny!
OK - I've got some pearl barley doing in the SC - anyone got any ideas of what to do with it? I've heard of PB risotto, no idea how to make it.0
