Evening All,
I'm proud to say I have'nt had a single ciggie today, but have gome for some patches to help with the craving.
So far I've not got a craving at all wearing "Level 2" patches as suggested by the chemist.
Thanks for all the support guys, it really motivates me.:money: = LEGEND0 -
Well done Grovers - way to go! Just keep on going, day by day - you'll get there.

Evening everyone.
Thanks for your kind words and inspiration. Sound like its been a rollercoaster ride for one or two of you. If one of us does fall of the wagon, we should not beat ourselves up, just brush down and start again, its not the end of the world, and with all the support on here, we'll get there, eventually.
Well, it been 10 days now since we stopped, I'm on Zyban and OH is on gum. We have avoided speaking about it even to each other and sort of just got on with it. We have been attending the stop smoking clinic which really is helping. (we even took MIL even though she wasnt registered). Not eating too much, but have noticed a big difference in having taste and smell in my life!! Its amazing how much our house and everything in it (including us) smelled of stale smoke. I had to wash all curtains and on with washing all clothes over the next few weeks, regardless of wether we are wwearing them this season or not!
I made a decision to get exercising too, and last week managed swimming twice and walking for one hour each evening, that same walk reduced to 40 mins, so we must be getting fit. (I was very lazy before last week believe me!) We also went to Whitby today, and ran up the steps to the Abbey, massive achievement for me!!
Also on the BBC website, there is a Big Challenge. I have joined that to help discipline me to stay focused.
So all in all, a busy time, but well worth it. I feel fitter, healthier and I smell nice lol. Shame it hasnt stopped me babbling!!
Thanks all and keep up the good work

Hiya :hello:
Just to let you all know I am still going strong. Seems daft to say 'I am still not smoking' as that makes it sound surprising that I am still not smoking when it is now becoming a way of life. I didn't believe that it gets easier with time but it does. The habit of smoking is starting to disappear. By that I mean I think about it less and miss it less so that's quite positive.
Me and Sally the cat (one of my famous brood - the other two are staying with hubby here) are off to Scotland this afternoon. Peace, tranquility and bliss...however, I have to suffer the M6 first  again....I now know what it feels like to be a travelling salesmen.....it's only them that will do more miles than me I imagine :rotfl:
Keep up with the good work girls, keep off those nasty ciggies....I can't wait till next New Years Day when we all will have been non-smokers for a full year!
Ember xx~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -

Hope youre all well. Keep up the good work all. Glad to see that others have jumped on the wagon!
