Thanks for the info though - at least I'll know what to do when I re-install it. I'm still ploughig through Allen Carr at the mo', and have one last bit after that to do before D-Day

    I've been Money Tipped!
My mum smokes around 40 a day. I read an artical last week in the mail about a new product called Nicogel. Its a hand gel and they say for a smoker like her it gives a quick fox for around 2 hours.

They don't say it will make you, but cut down.

She has gone from 40 a day to 15-17 a day. So even if its all in the mind it's cutting her smoking down. :T

I bought it for her in Tesco. £9.99 for a bottle. You can get it in Superdrug as well if I remember.

Lovingit, I know this sounds awful, but I'm down to max 26 a day now - considering it used to be 35 and up though I'm not going to knock myself too much.

I really really wish I were you, Sez or Ember - you've made it through the worst - HONESTLY!

Whether I like it or not, I will cease to be a smoker at the end of February latest, if I get any more fed up with myself if could well be sooner - I think about smoking so much now that I might just as well not do it, as the nett effect is the same.

IF ANY OF YOU STOPS GIVING UP, YOU'LL BE HURTING YOURSELF, YOU'LL HAVE WASTED ALL THAT TIME, AND YOU'LL STILL HAVE TO FACE IT AGAIN IN THE END!

SILVERFOXDUDE - YOU just remember that every day, whether you are conscious of it or not, your body is thanking you for every little tiny thing that is getting better - minute after minute, hour after hour, day after day - just KEEP GOING, you CAN MAKE IT. One particular thing that sticks in my mind from reading Allen Carr's book is that, when you feel that 'pang' for a cig - is it a real physical pain - NO IT ISN'T!

Have a great weekend all, success really is sweet and Soooo rewarding :D

hi guys, another week! Cant believe its monday again already. Hope youre all going strong. I can see now that it does get easier because i do go through an hour ect without thinking about cigarettes. But its also harder in some ways because i find that the times i do remember are the times i used to enjoy a cig the most. Eg. after running round the house with the hoover i would reward myself by relaxing for 5mins with a cig! I miss that! But i am so proud of myself and to be honest it only dawned on me last night that it was indeed sunday again and that meant 5 weeks have passed without me even having a puff!! And for that im proud.

One thing i do find keeps me off cig more than anything else is reminding myself how tough those first few days and probably couple of weeks if im honest were. I never want to go through that again, and as long as i stay away from cigarettes then i never will have to go through those times again.

Just wanted to reasure anyone who is going through those first few days that it does get easier. Stick with it....

Thinking of you! Hope LOZ and EMBER are well. Thinking of you guys is a huge help.

    Love sez x

oh my god. Cant believe i could have a day craving as much as i did in the first few days. Especially after what ive been saying lately. I thought i was so over all this!

Has anyone had a sneeky little puff and still managed to continue on there no smoking journey?! Im seriously struggling today. And to be honest i wish id never decided to give up. Im so annoyed that i told people, especially my fiance. Becasue if i hadnt then no one would be any the wiser if i decided to have one.

    aaaarrrrrrggggggggg.....................

Sez!!! YOU ARE A NON-SMOKER - WOULD A NON-SMOKER, WITH ALL THE KNOWLEDGE WE HAVE NOW, ACTUALLY CHOOSE TO SMOKE?

    Nooooooooo - ABSOLUTELY NOT.

So don't even go there Sez, just do something, anything, to take your mind off it - sing, dance, walk round the block, play some music really loud, scream and shout - ANYTHING to stop that little devil trying to get back into your head. You don't need it, and be honest, you don't really want it.

KEEP OFF, KEEP GOING! YOU'RE THERE ALREADY!

    Barbara :D
