Exactly where/what address you need to send the claims to is a little vague too.

The only address in the Ts&Cs (http://www.themobileoutlet.co.uk/Information.asp?txtMode=8) is the complaints one (Customer Relations, Suite 3 - 4, Riverdale House, Dockfield Road, Shipley. BD17 7AD).

Is this the address to use?

I asked this question and the cashback team replied

    Please send all cash back claims to;

    Suite 3-4

    Riverdale House

    Dockfield Road

    Shipley

    BD17 7AD

So yes it is the right address.

I have just ordered from MO before reading this thread. Not sure I am doing the right thing now. I am a bit confused with what bills I will need to send in. I should receive my phone tomorrow so which months bills will I need to send?

It depends on which deal you have taken, as different redemption amounts have different contracts.........read all the terms and conditions you receive, and all on their website. You've got to get it right...or you could end up with nothing back

Mobile Outlet's Terms and Conditions for cashback have changed since I got my phone last August. Does anyone have a copy of last year's Terms that they could email me?

I bought a phone from The Mobile Outlet in August 2005, and I do have the Terms & Conditions for that period. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner to e-mail them to you. If you have a fax or want to give me your address, I'll be more than happy to send them to you.

Hi there does anyone have a landline no. for Mobile Outlet, or know the name of their parent company so I could trace one? I am spending so much money on hold to their 0870 number that I thought it might be worth asking. Thanks anyone if you can help, Barnaby.

P.S.Getting very nervous about the order I just placed with them now in the light of all these comments :(

Try their parent, mobile-matters.co.uk... the site seems to be down since yesterday when I first tried. I bet it's been out of action for far longer!! U can try calling at 9am when they open, I've had more success then. I also saw off a discussion board a number for 01274587070 which u can try but no guarantees it will work.

I also need some help in claiming from them, so if anyone can pop by this:

  • I found this on the internet for Mobile Outlet.

A geographical of 01274 714204 is listed in the unverified database but appears to be constantly busy.

    May be worth a try.

Thanks a lot to ahemzz, 01274 587070 is a direct line to Mobile Outlet, I got through immediately this morning (may have helped that it was 8.59am). They actually called me back and the number they called from was 01274 714115 so this may be worth a try as well. No idea if they will resolve problems but at least it isn't costing me 7p a minute to find out! Much appreciated

My husband and I both got phones from them - me in early January; him 2 weeks later. I got my first 6 months money back without a problem. But we've just had his rejected.

The reason that his was rejected they say is because we had not forwarded the despatch note to them. But, we checked the written T & C through very carefully when we sent the bills back, and they did not ask us to. Also, I did not send them back my despatch note and still got my money back.

I was also peeved with myself though as because I had got the money for my phone without a problem, I wrongly assumed that the second one would also not be difficult so I did not e-mail them to confirm receipt of the letter: so they sat on it for their requisite 21 days until the offer of money-back was invalid before writing to tell us that the claim had been rejected. This seemed very deliberate as if they had replied any earlier we could have sent them the despatch note and even by this term we would have been able to get the money back.

We have now written to them (again by recorded delivery) enclosing them a copy of the T&C that they provided my husband with (again mine was subtley different) and asking for the money for return - for their "mistake". I am giving them a week to respond before I start e-mailing. At that point I will mention the small claims court.

I was interested that some people had vouchers and some didn't: again, I did; but 2 weeks later, my husband didn't. As the vouchers were only ever poor copies, we photocopied mine and used them for him.

I am deeply unhappy with this company as we followed their written instructions to the letter but are now having to chase. I do now understand the website mentions about the despatch notes being important but as the T&C which they sent us did not mention that, I am intrigued to see how they - and then perhaps later - the small claims court will react.
