  • I made an order at the beginning of last week (Monday I think) and apart from the initial confirmation email I've heard nothing from TheMobileOutlet. This is very very poor and I'd like to cancel my orders. The funny thing is today I emailed them to cancel and got an email back saying they are having email problems. What a load of rubbish. I should never have thought I could get a good deal with them in the first place.

Stick to the ones that you can trust. E2save.com, onestopphoneshop.com, dialaphone.com.
  • Ive just sent away for my first cashback via Special Delivery.

    Let's see how this goes....

Me too, I sent mine on Friday by Special Delivery, checked online and its been delivered. Hope I don't have to resort to emails and phone calls to receive cashback.
  • Can anyone give me some advice?

I sent off original copies of bills 1-6 by special delivery on 16.11.06, and they were received on 17.11.06. I received two e-mails from TMO on 22.11.06 stating they had received them and were processing my cashback, and that I would receive it within 28 days. I have since heard nothing, so I e-mailed them and they have not responded to this.

    What should I do now??

    Hi Clare,

We have been having a few technical issues over the last couple of days which has resulted in some email responses being delayed. If you can email forumqueries@themobileoutlet.co.uk, we will update you on the progress of your payment.

As for order which have been delayed over the last few days, we have had a few technical issues which have now been addressed. Customers should no longer experience any delays in the processing of their orders.

    Kind Regards

I have been reading the threads on mse.com and find that members have been receiving cashback for the same claim that I was refused. I was denied cashback as my 11th and 12th bills were sent in together and not within 28 days of receiving the 11th bill. I have been informed that the wording on the terms and conditions are in breach of the Office of Fair Trading "Plain Language Requirement". I have copyed this below for your information. I hope that you will now deal with my claim promply. The cashback is for two mobiles. I will allow up to 5 days for a satisfactory reply. If I don't receive this in the next five days I will go ahead with court proceeding for the full amount plus interest.

    The plain language requirement

According to the UTCCRs, a standard term must be expressed in plain and intelligible language. A term is open to challenge if it could put you at a disadvantage because you are not clear about its meaning - even if its meaning could be worked out by a lawyer. If there is doubt as to what a term means, the meaning most favourable to the consumer will apply.

    Hi all,

I'm 3 months into my contract that I got from the mobile outlet, but I've just discovered a potential problem. The problem is that I'm a uni student so my bills are sent to my home address, so all the information I get is late.

The dilemma is that I set up a direct debit near the end of the billing period and orange took the money in the next bill. As a result one of my bills says "payment overdue" even though a letter thanking me for paying by direct debit precedes this bill by 5 days.

In the terms and conditions it states that "if there have been any late payments made on your account at any time this will result in your application for cashback being void."

I would like to hear your opinions on whether I have a chance of getting my cashback, or whether I should just give up and switch to a cheaper tariff (currently on panther 45 on orange).
