nutdale wrote:I think it is very unfair to reject my claim and I believe this is due to unfair wording in the contract. To get the first cash back one has to send the first 6 bills in (all together) within 21 days. But to get the final cash back you only need to send the 11th and 12th bills. The catch is that these need to be sent in separately, each within 21 days of receiving. Now what can possibly be the reason for this other than to mislead the customer. I expect there are a great number of people who like me sent the final 2 bills in together!
Luckily I have delayed getting another phone from MO, expecting some sort of catch.
Thanks to this forum Mobileoutlet has agreed to make a goodwill gesture, paying me £100 of the £180 cashback I was expecting. I had not followed the terms exactly and had originally been told I would therefore not receive anything. So the prescence of MO on this forum does seem a positive step, but you must be very caredfull in following the terms and conditions to the letter!0 -

Hi
I picked up the mobile from the local delivery office - including the despatch note. Hope my first cashback goes well.
Good luck to you all and have a very merry Xmas!

I sent in my first six original bills by registered deilvery on 25 oct 2006 and also a copy of my T&C's. I then e-mailed them to make sure they received my documentation, they repied with a yes and said it will take 28 days to process. 28 days later I email them several times and they reply saying it will be 7 days, still no money so I e-mail them 7 days later and they said the end of the week. I still have not received any money. I have also e-mailed them on the forum address and got no a reply. I will take this issue up with trading standards I have kept my e-mails as proof also i will write a letter to Orange to complain and offcom. I think you need to complain to mobile provider so they can look into company0

Whilst they're to be commended by their presence on this forum I believe MO are their own worst enemy because they exacerbate their customers fears and lack of confidence by making promises that they don't keep.
I've followed everything to the letter, had my cashback claim verified, accepted and told that the funds have been sent via bacs. One week after the credit should have reached my account? ....... Nothing!!! And no response from MO.
If they specify a formal timescale to an individual inquiry they should stick to it.
In essence they have lied, saying that the credit "was sent yesterday by bacs" on the 1st when, evidently, it wasn't.
On a worrying note, as at 0630 today, their web site is down. That's the way "themobs" went!0 -
Ditto to dplaverys post, I have now e mailed the forum team and given the MO 5 days to pay the money or I will be going down the small claims route.0

I'm with you two guys now unfortunately; false promises are no way to go
MO, you said you'd BACS'd my money a week last Friday; you lied?
No responses to my emails either.
At least the website is up now.....
ETA: Aha, a response, cheque to be issued in 2-3 days....Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
MO received my after 6 months cashback request by signed-for post on 31st Oct.
30-Nov I e-mailed to query why I had not received my payment (T&C's state I should receive it within 28 days)
30-Nov MO e-mailed me to say it's 28 days from when it's "logged" which was on 6th Nov.
1-Dec I e-mailed MO to say their T&C's are 28 days from receipt and NOT when they "logged" it.
3-Dec MO e-mailed me to say they have a backlog of 7 working days
8-Dec I e-mailed MO to query why I have not received my cheque - no reply
Next step for me will be a signed-for letter indicating I will take this to the small claims court - then an additional £40 court costs will be payable.0 -
