A followup to my previous post (#304):
I PM'd my order details to MO as they requested, and they responded within two hours to tell me that my cashback had been paid by BACS that same day. A day later, I also got a reply to my earlier email to cust svcs, givng the same information. And indeed, after three days (the normal BACS processing time), the money appeared in my bank account.
So all due credit to MO: they have paid up what they said they would, (almost) when they said they would. They emailed me within a couple of days of receiving my claim to say it had been successful and would be paid, and have been quick in responding to my queries. If my second claim in 6 months time is handled the same way I'll be happy.
(If I have a complaint, it's that they waited the full 28 days before paying; if they'd paid a few days earlier so that the money was in my account before the 28 day deadline, I wouldn't have queried them, they would have had two less emails to spend time answering and we'd both be better off.)0 -
Placed an order with TMO for two Sony Eric 750is' on T-Mobile Relax 35 tariff yesterday. Thankyou to everyone posting your thoughts here.
One question:
When filling out the Direct Debit details I DIDN'T fill out the mothers maiden name bit as per my bank details, as I thought that was private security information that would give any unscrupulous persons full access to our money.
Am I OK with-holding that information?
With scare stories, especially with mobile phone companies, of your banking details appearing on published lists - this struck me as very risky.
Thanks

I think it is very unfair to reject my claim and I believe this is due to unfair wording in the contract. To get the first cash back one has to send the first 6 bills in (all together) within 21 days. But to get the final cash back you only need to send the 11th and 12th bills. The catch is that these need to be sent in separately, each within 21 days of receiving. Now what can possibly be the reason for this other than to mislead the customer. I expect there are a great number of people who like me sent the final 2 bills in together!
Luckily I have delayed getting another phone from MO, expecting some sort of catch.0 -

Hi,
I've been looking around these 12 months cash back deals for a while. Originally, I considered the MO as a no-no, giving the numerous negative comments and horror stories here, but it looks like they are genuinely willing to improve things thanks to their presence on forum such as this one. I have one last worry: is there anyway to check on their website if a phone is in stock or not? (I'm interested in the Samsung black D600 on Virgin 30). I don't want to order now, only to find out it's not in stock and will be delivered during Xmas, when I am away for 10 days. I know I don't have to send anything back to them when I received the phone, but I want to be able to double-check if everything is in order (and I received the precious dispatch note ok) within the first 14 days of receiving it. If there's no way to check availabilty, then I'll wait until next year. Thanks for any info. Philippe0 -
Hi
Sorry to seem naiave but can anyone tell me what's going on?!
I have submitted a claim for first refund on 2 mobile phones at the beginning of November. Telephoned to check they had been received and was told the first one (2nd Nov) was currently being dealt with (didn't mention the 6th).
My contract says should receive refund within 45 days so still time.
However, having just come across this thread, I tried to ring them and just keeps ringing then eventually, message stating no-one there to take the call.
Are they in financial difficulty and just keeping you holding on making money from the phone calls?
Thanks
SORRY - Am I getting the 2 companies mixed up?
My contract is with Themobs.com - The mobile solution.
Are they the same company as the mobile outlet?
