The Mobile Outlet: any good? (merged)

I have just posted my first four bills and despatch notes to the Mobile Outlet/Mobile Matters UK by first class recorded delivery. My first bill was issued on 12th August 2006. So 21 days on the fourth bill will be 3rd December 2006. I am really worried about them denying the claim.
Keeping my fingers crossed. Please suggest when should I get in touch with them to enquire about the claim or when will they get back to me.
Thanks.0 -

To claim my wife's first half of cashback on her mobile bought from mobile outlet, I sent the despatch note and bills to mobile outlet by recorded delivery on 25th October. I emailed them to confirm and got a response on 30th October that my claim has been received and I shall receive correspondence within 28 days. Its been over a month now and no reply. Scary bit is that they have stopped responding to my emails as well.
I complied to all the Ts and Cs and also included the despatch note that came from Vanilla Mobile, an alleged sister company of mobile outlet.
Why do they not tell you about the result of your application sooner than sending the cheque? Atleast this can make the customer relax.
Still keeping my fingers crossed. Will let you guys know the outcome.
Cheers..0 -

I emailed and asked them if they'd accept online billing printed off bills and they said no, so I'd get a duplicate sent from Orange if I were you.0 -
Has anyone been told by Mobile Outlet that they haven't received the statements sent? Just sent a query about why I hadn't had cashback, and got immediate email response to say that they hadn't received anything from me! Fortunately, I had the royal mail receipt, checked the RM website, and found that it has been signed for 2 days after posting. Not sure what MO will do with that information, though I did make copies of the statements before I sent them in!0

Hiya, I ordered a phone on cashback which arrived, but I have never received a welcome letter, or any cashback vouchers or anything like that. How do I go about claiming the cashback? I have had no information on it at all and there is nothing on the website. I sent an email last week but never got a reply.
Is this normal, or should I have received some cashback vouchers or something?0 -

Hi,
You should have received a dispatch note with your order. If you have not received one, please email forumqueries@themobileoutlet.co.uk and we should be able to sort this out for you. As for cash back vouchers, these are not issued or required.

Watchdog on the TV show said The Mobs also known as Mobile Solutions Online were no longer trading. I didn't mention this was the same company as Themobileoutlet. It was merely to advise MSE that Watchdog were talking about the cashback issues.
Is Moblile Matters the same company as Themobileoutlet as they have the same contact address?
Oh, apologies, I misunderstood your post, I assumed by THEMOBS you were referring to the company which is the subject of this thread (I hadn't heard of THEMOBS before) - maybe I should clarify that my post DID refer to Mobile Matters (UK) Ltd trading as themobileoutlet, i.e. it is they who are very late with their accounts and returns and who didn't bother to defend my moneyclaimonline.0 -
