    Howdy Stranger (OBNW)!!!!

I am sooo looking forward to making weekly payments to OH! Set in stone, straight out my account every Friday, job done.

At least I know there is an end in sight now.... even if it is 140 weeks from when I start!! :o

    Morning All!

Just a quick update..... Egg Loan now showing £0.00!! YAY!:T

Looked at Halifax yesterday, still with the full balance showing :( and as of yet haven't managed to sort online banking for any of the others! :o Thats a job for this evening!

Oh, another piece of news, the flights for our holiday were booked with the company that went 'pop' yesterday afternoon. Luckily we are ATOL protected and I made OH buy the holiday on his CC!! So we can claim the cost of the original flights back and we have managed to provisionally book replacement flights for the same dates!:o I just want to go on holiday!

Waiting for this weeks payslip to turn up by post so I know what my new base wage is each week! Typically it turned up on Tuesday last week when I wasn't waiting to look at this and this week...well!;)

Right, must do some work - loads to do.

Have a good day, I'll get round your diaries while I am stuck on hold throughout the day!

  • all hail bank of OH!!!!! lol!!!!

you are right though, debt is debt. Least you know its always at 0%, no need for balance transfers, rates going up etc! and on paper you dont actually owe anything for things like mortagages etc!

You have still done well to get it to 14k. Just think off all that interest saved!

    I hate interest!

    Hi All!

Well what a strange weather day here today.... it's been as black as the ace of spades and I know its been hammering it down with rain about 8 miles away, but we have had none and its currently gloriously sunny outside!

Flight update - now on our 3rd set of flights for holiday! Fingers crossed that is it now!

Ok, money update (the more important bit of my diary!)

    DEBT...........................BALANCE SHOWING

    EGG LOAN......................£0.00
    EGG MONEY...................£0.00
    EGG CARD......................£0.00
    SANTANDER....................£0.63 in credit
    HALIFAX........................£28.77 in credit
TESCO..........................£37.09 not sure if credit or not :o
    BARCLAYCARD.................£0.00
    ABBEY (MBNA)................£31.29 in credit

    BANK of OH...................£14,000 approx :T

I am pretty sure that there are bits and pieces of interest to be applied to all of the above, except my Egg Loan. Just need to keep an eye on them online (all have internet banking now, except Santander where you can't set yourself up online and they have to send you a pack!!)

Not a lot else to report. My wage-slip this week showed an increase of £14.45/week. Although I think this may change a little next week once the tax, NI and student loan repayment have settled down, I have updated my spreadsheet (geek!!) accordingly! So, thats about £57.80 better off in a 4 week month and £72.25 better off in a 5 week month!

Thats about it really - am impatient and want to close all my CC's but have to wait for the interest to be updated etc. Oh well, there's time I 'spose - would just like it all to be sorted for holiday, but I doubt thats going to happen!

Have a good day all, hoep the sun is shining where you are?

Good morning All! Hope you all had a good weekend? The weather was a little on the carp side here, but blue skies this morning - although the air has a definite autumn feel to it!

Well, this is just a little update from me to say that I have closed my first CC!!!:jHalifax - and even better they are sending me a cheque or £10.08 as I was in credit!!! ;) (after interest being applied!) I was resistant to all they're smarm and charm aimed at getting me to keep the card / even take out a new Halifax current account! :D

So, that is it for me really. Manic week at work before I disappear on my hols - hopefully I'll be able to close a few more CC's before I go!
