    Or even nearly £4k:T
But if it is now just £15.500 that means you have reduced your debt by 20% or a fifth in old money :j
Thats fantastic I have only managed 12.5%.

Sorry got a tad nerdy then!!!!!!
    LBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13 :D

  • Yes but OBNW, your 12.5% is still a huge reduction and a more substantial amount of money than I!!

Still haven't worked it out exactly though - its the weekend, had a hangover from hell yesterday and have been chillin' today - so all is not bad.

Will be back tomorrow with more info...... hope everyone is well?

  • Hi All!

Still not worked out how much I have paid off my debt this year.... been just too busy!

Good news though (I could get used to saying that) my OH has managed to sell that dreaded car on - only for what we paid, but we have done nothing to it, so there will be £100 coming my way in a couple of weeks. All helps!

    Hope everyone is ok?

    Hi All!!!

Well, not a lot to report really! Have been paid 20p by Q.co so thats a bonus, and the car will be sorted out over the weekend so I should have my £100 back by early next week (other £100 belongs to OH!)

Need to get my rear in gear and sort out some c/card movements - my Abbey has just run out of its 0% offer and the repayment amount on it is about to shoot up - which is not good! Will have to do some investigations at to whether any of my cards are doing any good deals - and speak to Abbey to see if they would lower the rate!

Other than that, nothing really. My HSBC OD has gone, there is a little positive balance in there just to cover any interest that is due - then anything that is left is going back into my A&L account. Paid off the £104.15 that was on my Egg Money card from our holiday.

The thing is ...... I quite like the look of having a postive balance on my A&L account. I haven't really used my OD there since I opened it - but it is slowly growing (thanks to my dear step-dads generosity!) and I like it!! I know the mony would be of much better use if it was paid toward a debt, but then my account would look sad again!

I think maybe, I need to send some of it to my A&L savings account and then when it reaches a predetermined balance pay it off a debt! Any thoughts!

Oh, bought my car tax online last night! Well at £35 I couldn't really complain! lol (bargain!!)

Am hunting around for car insurance quotes at the moment - Since I passed my text 8 years ago, I have managed to get my premium down every year, but this year I am really struggling - even with cashback!! I do begrudge having to pay more, especially when MY circumstances haven't changed! I have another 10 days to find one though, so will keep looking (good news is I am getting money via Q.co etc for doing all the comparison sites! lol)

Right, I really must go and do some work.

Thanks for dropping in Doodledo, you are always welcome!

  • Isn't a positive balance great!! As long as you're not tempted to spend it while it's in your account I couldn't see the problem with saving up and then paying off debts in lump sums? :)
