    Hi All!

Another sunny day here in Kent - not for long though I bet! lol

Have just got off the phone to my mobile provider. Back in OCtober, I upgraded my phone, changed my call-plan and got more for the £20 I was paying (still paying £20 as I wanted the internet access!) My first bill came through in November and I thought that it was a bit steep at £42-odd. But as I had gone over my allowance on my old contract I assumed it was about right (it could be possible!). So this mornth I was expecting it to come through at £20. But no!! A text from them this morning said that this month they would be taking another £42-odd. "Hmmm - something not right there me thinks!" So, log-on to their billing page and have a little look at my account and there it is 'unlimited texts' on one page (and as advertised and what I took out as part of my plan) but on the bill page '100 text allowance!' Which I had gone over in quite spectacular style (well, I thought I had unlimited!! lol). So, a 20min conversation later and I am getting the plan amended for future bills and they are going to credit me for the texts they have charged me for and shouldn't. By my reckoning, January should be a free mobile bill month! YAY (although have paid more than I should have for the past 2 months!)

Hope you are all well? Anyone else still crimbo shopping, or is it just me? I seem to struggle to bring myself to spend any money on presents. I have decided to buy as much as I can online to get any available cashback from places like Q.co - then I'm paying for it with my Egg Money card which gives me a whole 1% cashack on all purchases! and then I will transfer that to my "new credit card" from Santander (who decided to only give me a £500 limit) which is at 0% and there is no BT fee as I am already a customer! I am hoping to have enough set aside in my current account after christmas to either pay it off in full or as it is on 0% for a while pay a lump off another card! ? A decision to be made later!

Oh, no more wins on BB yet - but as they say "today is another day!" I can't get on at work though as my silly computer won't install the flash-player needed! Something to look forward to this evening!

Off to do some work and have a little look to see what you've all been up to! oh, and some daily clicks! (still boring - but I like the free cash! lol)

glad you've done well on BB Nats.
and glad you've also sorted out your mobile phone, i'd have died of shock with a bill that size, but then again i do only top up a fiver each month and make sure i do that in boots to get my points lol
glad to see your OD accounts are looking pretty healthy.

Hi All! (second time in a day, I know!)

Well, I have just been reading through a couple of the headlines online and seeing what Alistair Darling has put in his pre-budget report. Upping the NI on wages over £20,000 by 0.5% - which apparently equates to a 5% increase on what we pay now! So effectively, I will be taking a pay cut when this happens - and this is supposed to increase public spending how?

nb, may have got hold of completely the wrong end of the stick - will be back later when I have digested the full facts!!

  • Hi Rags!
I'm playing Bingo Britain - Signed up, deposited and played £5 of my own money and then I get a bonus £5 to play with with every day for a month and any winnings are yours to withdraw (min withdrawal £20, so sometimes you need to top up to be able to withdraw.... if that makes sense!) You do need to play the free £5 every day to make sure you get the £5 the next day - but it takes almost no time at all as you don't even have to sit and watch, you can pre-purchase your cards and log out!

Hope this helps (more info on Hypno's thread about page 84/85!)
