i know that feeling, that's why i've decided that my overdraft is my current battle, i am just sick and tired of having it. my plan is to get it always in the black but leave the limit at £300 in case of emergencies, if i find i keep dropping back then i'm going to cancel it outright. After the OD my next challenge is to finish repaying the savings accounts i have for my nephews, then it's save save save to make lump sum payments to my loans. I think i'll really stall when i get to the saving stage as i won't see the debts going down so quickly

    Good evening All!!

Hope you are all at home and enjoying the end of the days sunshine. Works just too busy to spend as much time on here as of late! ;)

Last night.... I heard the following immortal words from my Bosses... "Nat, there is plenty of overtime available and we would be grateful if you would do some!" We are changing computer systems in about 6 weeks time and there is just so much info we need to get off the old system and tweak before we can put it into the new system. Will need to find a balance between working longer hours and making some more pennies and homelife though .... I have seeds to look after and my OH will get grumpy if I spend too much time at work! Nice to have some OT available though after they scrapped it after christmas!

I do consider myself to be lucky - the building sector is suffering really quite badly in areas, but its just not showing here yet. It will have to give a little at some point I know, but for now at least I know my job is safe.

Keep looking at my spreadsheet (its just soooooooo pretty!) and I have decided that instead of waiting and paying off a lump sum (HSBC OD) on the 5th of June, if there is anything spare between now and then, I will just send it over anyway... my reasoning is that the less I am into my OD then, the less interest I am earning and then it will disappear quicker.
By joves!! I think she's got this DFW lark after all! :rotfl:

Right, well I am off to finish off my day at work and then home. No OT tonight as I have promised OH we will go to the beach for a walk and he can take his camera and fishing rod!!

    Love to all, Nats x

    Morning All!!

    (where is everybody??)

Has anyone noticed a small increase in their wages? I do mean small - as in so far in April my wages have been £2.35 higher per week even though my gross pay is exactly the same! Must be something to do with the change in tax the government started messing around with last year!! I'm not going to complain though.... it means I am a whole £122.20 per year better off!!!

Going to do an hour or so OT tonight!! YIPPEE!! (any extra hours this week will come through next Friday!!)

Went walking last night along the seafront. We covered about 4 miles all in all, and we were stomping along too. Good for the old leg muscles - boy I slept well last night!!

Well, nothing else to report really! Payday tomorrow!! YIPPEE!!

Catch you all a little later - should be working!! lol

    Whoop whoop!! Payday!!

Hi All!! Is the sunshining where you are? Its another glorious day here today - shame it looks like rain for the weekend!

Well, just logged onto A&L to check it matched my spreadhseet (which it doesn't, but they are sooooo slow at putting transactions on there that I always run at a lower figure than them anyway!... and.... they have paid me my £1000 bonus for transfering my DD's to them. So I have paid £300 (instead of the planned £260) to my HSBC OD and my balance there is now -£394.17!! YAY!! I have left the remainder of the £100 in my A&L for now, that will go over next week with the extra I get in my wages from my OT... all my OT money will go direct to my HSBC OD!! Hopefully I will be able to clear it before my 5th June date! YAY!!! :D

Just been confirmed that I am off to Exter at the end of MAy to meet up with the girls from Uni - so need to find out if OH wants come along. If he does, we will drive, if he doesn't I will book a nice cheap train ticket! :D

Thats about it for now... have updated my signature... nice to know I am getting close to being able to put the £800 HSBC OD figure in my debt paid total!! :T

Have a good day everyone!! x

and.... they have paid me my £1000 bonus for transfering my DD's to them.

HA HA!! If only they had made that typo when paying me - nice!!

Well it was only £100 - but welcome all the same.

    Sorry.........."Hi everyone!!"

It's a dull money week for me this week. No DD's or anything!! The only thing to look forward to is Q.co notification of payment on Friday (hopefully!) Fingers crossed my A&L £50 will come through along with a few more pennies! I just keep staring at my spreadsheet, putting in random amounts of money to pay out and seeing what it does to my balance!! :o Isn't that bad?! The phrase "get a life Nat" comes to mind!! :rotfl:

Ooh - have signed up to 'fatcheese' as a daily click site. Someone mentioned that the dailies are worth about £0.68 per day.... thought I would give it a ago.... although you do pay £5.00 (out of your 'earnings' like Q.co).

Sorry, nothing else to report really. I have sun burn though from spending 4 hours on the beach yesterday - the weather was glorious!! Rain today, so its just my shoulders keeping me warm at the moment. Don't think my OH will accept my radiating heat as a reason not to put the heating on tonight!!

    Hi hun!!

Sorry again - I been lame at getting on here - with not being able to make any 'dents' into my debt - I've felt a bit of a 'fake' coming on here and just diarising (is that a word?) about job searching....

Its been to good to catch up on how you're doing - so glad to hear you're getting overtime too!! Its nice to actually read that at the moment - I have heard so many friends tell of cuts in hours and even loosing days - it all gets depressing, so its lovely to hear someone's company is still doing ok.

Well done on the OD free date of June 5th!!!:T - Once that's gone - I reckon your gonna see a big fall in the other stuff!!

Again sorry for my rubbishness!! and keep writing as reading everyones diaries is keeping me sane!!

    xx

Good morning All!! (and welcome back Emms!!)

Well, its another boring money day for me - just want to get home to check my payslip (for extra money for OT!) and then I will be counting down to Friday!

Have looked at Q.co this morning and it looks like this month they will be paying me.... (wait for it!).....£0.10!!! YIPPEE - for some reason my A&L £50 hasn't been verified. Hopefully it will come through on Mays payment or thats an extra £50 I need to find to clear my HSBC OD!!

My spreadsheet has highlighted the fact that I am not really sticking to my £60 budget. Smoking has crept up again (sorry, no way can I smoke rollies!!) and there are some extra 'bits and pieces' in the week. Will have a little add up later and see how much I have overspent by..... and in turn how much extra I could have put toward my OD!! I think a little renewal of my anger at my situation is called for! :O)

I will be back later - keep writing everyone - its good for the soul!! x
