natsplatnat wrote: »Right! Well! I messaged HSBC (who came back to me surpisingly quickly!) and they have said that they received a request to transfer all DD's and SO's to another account, so they have and have canxd everything. Fair enough _ 'spose it has to happen that way or you end up with money going from 2 accounts to pay 1 bill. But.... there was nothing showing on my A&L account last time I looked..... so there is now nothing I can do until this evening when I have me details to hand. I 'spose worst case scenario is I have to pay the finance people separately this month and make sure it all kicks in next month!! I knew this was going to be tricky!!
On a good note though...... Q.co has validated my £50 for swapping my account to A&L and that will be with me at the beginning of May!!!
Ah but Nats this is not a disaster just a ickle bitty hiccup you can cope with;) have faith you are in control and it's all going well:DLBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13

Hi Lemon Tree!! Yep, I will be on the phone tonight (joy of all joys!!). It will get sorted - hopefully the car finance people will be understanding? Well, time will tell!
Bank holidays are awful for over spending!! I always feel that I need to do something on my extra day off and end up going somewhere and it costing money!!! See!! Thats all part of my "I need to be more organised!" thinking - I could plan ahead and sort something cheaper / free to do!!

Hi all - another glorious day here, the sun is shining!! Had a big thunderstorm last night though! I like storms!
Well tried to speak to the car finance people last night but they kindly only work til 17:30 and I am here til 18:00 so it had to wait til today. Apparently they have never received notification of a change of bank details and even if they had they wouldn't have done anything without my signature!! What a nightmare. Luckily (hopefully!) my account doesn't show as overdue yet due to the 2 bank holidays, so I logged on to my HSBC account and sent them the money today.... they should receive that within 2hours!! There is a small chance that I might be charged £25 for a late payment - I will then take this up with A&L if it happens!
Well nothing else really to report! I just need to work out when and how much I can transfer to my HSBC OD this week. A&L payments seem to take forever to reach their destination..... one good thing about HSBC was that payments were fast (eg, 2 hours!)
OBNW - it is only a ickle bitty hiccup - but I really don't have time for those at the moment!!!
Lemon Tree - you have certainly done well on clearing your debt... and getting married whilst doing it!!
Well, I had better get on with some work - I seem to be getting nowhere fast today.... and I would rather be outside in the sunshine!!
Have a great day and I'll try and get round your diaries a little later!

Hi All!
Another boring money day - did treat myself and OH to an Indian takeaway last night, so put that in my spreadsheet this morning! Yay!
DD went to Egg Loan today (or should have done - not checked yet!!) so have updated my signature accordingly!
Payday again tomorrow! Another Yay! Will probably send some pennies over to the HSBC OD tomorrow...... HANG ON!! Yep, have looked and made a decision (something that I am not too good at unless its impulsive!!) I will send a minimum of £75 tomorrow!! Thats-that... now you all know I can't back out!! lol
Well I hope you are all well? We had another little storm last night - but the air is still sticky and humid and wouldn't be surprised if there is more to come!!

Seeing as you have paid over £1k off, does that mean you are under £17k in debt now????? if so then in a few hundred quids time you will be nearer £16k???? now if so, then that is impressive!!!!!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Hi Rags!! Enjoying your day off? Or are you still pureeing? lol
Using my debt total from my signature it would appear that I am down to about £17,125!! That just sounds sooo much better! i have just had a look back at my original SOA and realised that I haven't included my OD in my original debt.... but, I was planning on putting clearing it toward my target of £6500. But that seems a little odd now!! What to do, what to do? I mean it is effectively a debt, but I don't really want to increase my original debt to £19,225 (all psychological!!)
Any suggestions?start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
