    Morning Everyone

Had a work nightmare this morning. We'd had a power cut over night, so everything was down. Had to fix everything alone - not fun. But we're back to normal now

Really tired. The night seemed so short!

Not eaten yet, but have stuff in my bag.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Morning all,

Quite organized this morning, WM on already(first for me), breakfasts over and kids dressed. After taking DD to pre-school I need to whip round the house as my mum is coming later.

Have taken some steak and mince out of freezer to defrost ready for the mammoth cook this aft to use up the potatoes which are going soft, also going to make potatoe bakes, soup, and pies. Thanks for all your ideas.

Anyway take care and hope everyone feels better later,

    Ice

Lunch-not sure, prob.share a sandwich in pub with Mum

    Morning campers :hello:

Another bad night here too but that's cos I'm worrying about having to go up to the flat this morning to do the cleaning _pale_

Just having my :coffee: whilst waiting for DS2 to come pick me up as there's no way I can drive myself today as I've got jelly legs before I even go out the door lol I'm armed with vinegar, bicarb, lemon juice and soda crystals though and should have the place all looking all sparkly when I've done :D

Need to do a bit of re-painting too but DS can get on with that whilst I clean (not going to give landlord any excuse not to return my deposit ;) ) then give the carpets a good shampooing. I'm worried about a small stain on one of the carpets as I'm not sure it will come out but I'm taking some white spirit too as someone previously suggested that might work <fingers crossed>

Dinner tonight will be sausage and mash with either beans or carrot/swede mash, depending what the boys want, and this evening will be mostly spent finishing off the decorating in eldest's room, so I've got a very busy day ahead of me

Good luck to anyone still taking exams, and big hugs for KC's DD and any other poorly people :A

    Morning all

DD's are still poorly - infact I think they've probably reached the lowest bit today - both look like little chipmunks with their glands all inflamed...lots of hot squash and cuddles me thinks.

Last nights dinner went to pot as DD's didn't want to eat and DH was late home (after going out for a client lunch) so wasn't that hungry. We ended up having some tesco party nibbles that have been in the freezer since before xmas that we'd not fancied. Mini chicken satay, potato rosti, garlic mushrooms and chicken strips....served with chutneys and relishes.....very tasty it was too...but both of us had to get up in the night to drink pints of water - all that hidden salt!!! Means I've emptied out a load of freezer space and managed to finish the remnants of 4 jars of chutney. Tesco delivery coming later - will be able to fill that space in the freezer nicely.

Not working at all today so will generally slob around, need to push a hoover about and might change our bed. I got turkey out for a pie and quiche yesterday so will have to use that up too.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday..

Up at 4 - DD3 has come down with the same thing as DD4. Great. Washing blankets again.

So they are both curled up on the Sofa witha a blanket watching Elmo.

Curryqueen - Dont get worried - this should be one of the last times you have to go back to that place - then you never have to do it again and all that episode will be behind you. Chin up.

Kiwi - Hope your little one perks up!

DD2 has to have a tooth out today. Its only a baby one, but the small hole 6 moths ago (that they wouldn't fill as the dentist said it might heal in its own) didn't heal and has got very bad since last time.

My evening out was nice cost £10 with voucher, so great!

Quiet day at work - everyone else is out today so just me - I can pop back on here later and have a nose round!

Dinner will be Tortillas and Chicken and off to get myself a yoghurt and banana for breakfast.

    Have a nice day everyone!

Problems of a few days ago have flared up again....my almost step-daughter (16 yo) has come to a decision.....and OH is not going to be impressed. She has just asked her 18 yo boyfriend to marry her...and he said yes. I know at the end of the day she has to make her own mistakes...but now I have to get this through to her Dad.

He is not going to be happy and I have until Saturday to calm him down to a simmer (from boiling over).

    Breakfast: Fruit
    Lunch: Packed
Tea: Pork chops....with whatever OH makes.

Do you ever feel like you want to scream? I'm trying to show her that I am happy for her, but will continue to ask the practical questions. With any luck this will all simmer down and disappear. Knowing her....I doubt it though.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.

Rchddap1 - have you tried playing them at their own game (so to speak). make an offer that if they wait until shes 19/20, you would pay for the honeymoon? Make some sort of grand geasture and hopefully will have a few years for her to grow out of it?
  • Hello Everyone,

Glad to hear DD had a reasonable night Kiwichick.
Pooky i hope your girls are not too sore.
Snowy Owl well done for making it through your exams and enjoy your freedom to read anything you like!
Charlotte I hope your baby is feeling better today, it must have been an agonizing time for you.
PP I am just not sure how you cope with such little sleep, hope you get a nap in the day.

Have got towels in the wash as was hopeful it would be a decent drying day. Actually it looks grey and damp now!
Didn't get filing done yesterday as made giant chocolate chunk muffins instead as I knew my son would be starving after football. He and his friend scoffed two each-only problem with HM everything is everyone wants to eat more! So filing this morning and will eat a muffin at the same time!
Have to take DD to maths tutor this afternoon and DS to rugby practice this evening. Both 30mins drive away so lots of pointless time in the car and will have to get organised with the meals as I am not sure what to cook yet.

Have a good day all and enjoy your lunch out Thriftlady!
