morning all!
gosh this thread is busy already today.
(((((((((((((((P_P AND KC))))))))))))))))))))))) sorry to hear you had such bad nights.kc i hope dd is better and its nothing serious.
SMOKEY...........hope the test goes well-im sure you'll pass with flying colours.
SNOWYOWL.......good luck with those exams.
ANCASTA.......lovely to see you back here on os....and i love hearing about the wedding plans, mine seems all too far in the past now.and a huge well done you on the weightloss.
well i had a mini blitz this morning and now im resting here with tea and toast.dd2 has nodded back off and dd1 is watching fifi.
so far i've cooked a huge, huge vat of chilli for the freezer, its cooling in the pot at the mo,will bag up when cool.....got the breadmaker on....washing machine on second load, first has been put onto airers.....dry washing has been sorted and either put away or put into ironing pile(mountain).....meat taken out of freezer for stir fry tonight.....washing up done....beds turned back and windows open to air.....me and littlies all washed and dressed....littlies both breakfasted!!!
phew!!! well i feel even more knackered now......given that i vacummed and vaxed the floors last night theres not really anything to do other than the normal washing up etc that accumalates through the day so i think i'll have a mixture of a craft day with the girlies, maybe a small walk with them after lunch and a lovely laze around on here .....think i'll put a dvd on for them after the walk.
breakfast......dd's = weetabix.....me and dh = tea and toast.
lunch.......a picky lunch, breadsticks, dips, cheese, crackers, few teeny sarnies etc.
tea.........turkey stir fry.0 -
Morning all
DD's still in bed - both are looking even more peeky than they did yesterday - dosed them up and tucked them back in.
Can't seem to wake up this morning - got one of those muzzy heads. WM on, DW empty, hoovered and tidy in living room, our bed aired and now made and bathrooms had a cursory wipe round.
Got turkey and stock from the freezer last night to make pies and quiche with today - going for curried turkey and spinache for the quiche....was lovely last time we had it.
I've emptied the contents of my built in wardrobe onto my bed, will ensure that I go tidy it...I've been putting it off.....today's the day! I've got shelves all down one side that I store all my bedding in but I see to be the only one that understands the concept of folding and placing...not just screwin git up and shoving it in......suppose there's worse things to worry about tho
Need to work out what's left in the food budget for this week - I don't need much but want to see if I can justify a £75 spend to get the 1200 points voucher I found.....I'm in need of big items this week like washing powder and loo rolls, so I might bulk buy to get the points.
Anyway - clicks to do - coffee to drink and washing to sort.
Have a wonderful day all and good luck to snowy with the exam."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning campers :hello:
I'm another one who didn't sleep too well last night either, think I've just got too much going round in my head, mostly related to all the work that needs doing in this house plus I got thinking about tentative plans for the garden yesterday evening and where the best place to put a chuck house will be... also still anxious about getting back up to the flat to shampoo carpets and do the final clean-up etc as I need to hand the keys in on Friday. DS2 phoned last night and will come over tomorrow to take me up there and help me get it all done though, so fingers crossed he doesn't let me down now!
Still need to do some re-organising in the kitchen and unpack the plastic crates of storecupboard food so I can actually find stuff to cook with! Also need to mount the microwave on wall brackets as its taking up valuable worktop space at the moment which I need for food prep and baking etc. Think those will be on my "to-do" list today, as well as trying to organise all my paperwork and file it all away in a new filing cabinet I got from Argos sales last week.
No idea what we're eating yet today as I haven't had enough :coffee: to get my thinking head on straight yet
Good luck in your exams today Snowy!!!
Have a nice day and catch you all later!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Morning all :hello:
It seems to be "Newbies Week" at the moment! WELCOME SUZY G!!! Hope you like it here cos we're very nice
Ancasta, that's amazing - 2 stone in a month! Not to put the dampers on it or anything but are you sure it's healthy to lose weight at that speed? I've been told many a time that a target of 7-8 lbs in a month makes the weight much more likely to stay off once it's gone, but I think it depends on how much you needed to lose in the first place.
Lunch will be one of the ready meals I got for the bargain price of 10p on Sunday. Tesco deal = £1 off any 2 "Healthy Living" meals. Found 4 on reduced to clear, 3 at 90p, 1 at 60p = £3.30 with 2 x £1 off = grand sum of £1.30 for 4 ready meals (yes I know the term "healthy" is relative when it comes to ready meals, but I haven't had to cook since Sunday)
The lower right-hand side of my back is still seized up, though not as bad as yesterday - I really hope it's better soon cos I've got vouchers from the Times for five free days at Cannons gym (the one near my office is absolutely gorgeous and I always go there when there's a freebie offer on. I think the normal membership rate is about £90 a month  - it's the City branch so it's aimed at the rich!) The swimming pool is the best bit, and it will be a good start to one of my lesser New Year's resolutions this year which was to be a bit more high-maintenance - you know - making a bit more effort with my appearance, getting out of student mode (flippin'eck it's been nearly 7 years since I was actually a student, and I'm STILL living like one!) and into grown-up, together, sophisticated career woman modewhile still spending as little money as I do at the moment. If I get the gym bug (which I doubt
) I can then get my free month at LA Fitness as advertised in New Woman magazine...
Hope everybody has a nice day :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Well. DD4 (20mo) is being starved today! She is not well at all and without details you can guess whats wrong! So - for the next 24hrs she cant eat and the poor baby is crying her eyes out as shes hungry.
WM is on going away, washing the jeans I want to wear tonight - going out with a new friend and am actually nervous!
Dinner will be something simple for the rest of the family (I'm eating out!) and breakie was fruit salad with yoghurt. Will have to skip lunch today - as I dont have enough time as its DD3 ballet class today after school. Am taking a banana with me to work though and can scoff that quickly.
House is clean, but not neccessarily tidy!
Have a nice day all and hugs to everyone0 -
