    Somerset Princess-Big congrats hun:j

I havent really done much apart from being in and out of sleep all day...dont know whats going on, but my Lupus rash has appeared on my face again, so think Im having another flare up...and it just knocks me for six:mad:

Anyway, back to OS-SIL came and did all me ironing (there was alot:o ), vinegared glass teddy bear cabinets in lounge, polished me blinds and the fireplace taken apart and cleaned. So am very happy and all the bits needing doing has been done:D

OH has been running his dad up and down from hospital today and has done round the window (decorating) in dd's room, so her blind can go up tomorrow:T its only taken him 2 bloody months...but at least its getting there LOL. He made lunch for us (SIL & I and himself) as I really have no energy today and has put dinner in, which is now going to be sausage (for OH & DD) fishcake (for me), mash and peas.

I had quite a few piggypoints, so have ordered 2 UCI adult tickets for OH & I and a £10 voucher off total bill atr TGI's with a BOGOF voucher for a main meal. So ive worked out OH & I could go to pictures then to a meal, using vouchers etc for about £20 including drinks....not bad i thought. I have another £20 worth of piggy points in hubbys name, so might order some more UCI tickets or the Blockbuster free dvd rental which also have a BOGOF voucher with them ATM.

The sky here is orange..very bizarre and abit freaky actually:confused:

Im going to go, as my eyes arent focusing very well. Will try and call back in later.

  • Hello everyone,
Had a busy day at work today. I took in the banana bread that i made on Sunday - it lasted about 10 minutes - i think people were shocked that i can cook (a little bit).

Was up at 6 this morning, put sausauge casserole in the slow cooker - i'll be having that in the next hour or so. Went running before work - i try to go 3 or 4 times a week - its not very nice in the cold and dark at the moment, but at least they have free hot showers at work .

Beans on toast for breakfat and home made sweet potato and butternut squash soup for lunch.

Tonight i'll have to do an hour or so studying. I borrowed 'I can make you thin' by Paul MacKenna from someone at work - so i'll have a look through that later. It come with a CD so maybe i'll be hypnotising myself too.

Hope you all have a nice evening

    Thanks

    Congrats Somerset Princess!!!! :j

Just having 5 minutes on the comp before OH gets in from work while I update money. I went for a walk this afternoon - very briske and uphill! I was cooked by the time I got where I was going! Anyway, I went to a secondhand furniture place that I've been meaning to go to for erm..... 6 years :o I just missed out on buying one of those fabric covered wardrobes with a matching set of drawers  BUT as I was walking around I noticed a moneytree, not looking too healthy but still alive, and on the saucer under it there was a leaf just laying there...so I picked it up :shhh: I'm going to go outside tomorrow and get some compost to put it in. If it grows I've just saved myself some money, if it doesn't then at least I didn't have to pay for it! :p Oh, BTW, I didn't see anything in the shop so I left without buying ANYTHING, but ended up popping into Kwick Save on the way home and spent £6.50  Then after picking DD up I spent money in 3 other shops (Totaling about £10-15) but that included a birthday card for my uncle (his birthday on Saturday and I can't find my stash of cards  ) and a scratchcard - impulse purchase but resulted in a £1 win...so tomorrow I'll take it back and get another one :shhh:

Right, off to make tea - burgers (veg ones for DD, Spicy bean ones for me and meat for OH) in the bun on our GF

    Hi everyone

Huge congrats, Somerset Princess :j :D :j I was thinking about you only the other day, wondering how it was all going. Well, obviously. :rotfl: Didn't mean to ignore you earlier - just cross posted.

Anyway, went ice skating and I have to say I'm flippin' knackered now. However, it was a very money saving day. Total entrance plus skate hire was £5.55 so I gave her a tenner. It wasn't until I was footling around in my purselater on that I noticed she'd given the £4+ loose change, which I'd checked, but she'd also put a fiver in with my entrance ticket and other bits of paperwork that I'd just shoved in my purse :D So, 55p entrance in total.

Then, as I went onto the ice, I noticed that the end was sectioned off - as they were doing their training for that Dancing on Ice programme. It was Gaynor Faye practsing whilst I was there, but when I walked out, I almost walked head first into the bloke who played Martin Platt on Corrie. I was about to say "hiya" like I would to a friend, when I thought, hang on, I don't actually know him, I'm just used to seeing his face :D So, just gave him a big grin instead.

Went to Burnley to do mysery shopping job and got some cheapy 'pressie box' stuff in Boots, for next to nothing. Then went to Aldi where i got some fresh food and found some great kids books and puzzles, so have stocked up pressie box even more.

Now - everyone's been fed. Mr TM is waiting to go on pc so is seranading me with his guitar (arrrrgh - must buy earplugs :D) At least he's not singing  He's off out in a while, so it's kids in bed and me in hot bath tonight.

    Have a good evening

    TM

He he, my fella does that! he wants the PC so he starts playing, and the amp is right by the desk so I get my ears blown off! Fortunately he is good at it so it isnt 'bad' but its just painful! I have to move asap!

SP - congrats on the news, I hope today went well!

Johanne - :j yey for you! Nice to have the money worries eased a bit isnt it!

As the boyf is out at a gig thing again, dinner is a bunch of oven stuff (crispy chicken, veg grill thingy, a lone hash brown) and a bit of salad on the side for a bit of health! Was really busy at work so I cant be bothered to cook fully for just me, had a good(ish) day though, plenty done so I deserve to sit on my bum tonight (like always  ). I need to take up a hobby, maybe a cookery class at a college or something so I give myself something to do and socialise at the same time.

I ordered some jam jars on ebay last night (I know I know, I never got round to saving them when I actually used to buy the stuff and needed to invest in some pretty hexagonal ones with plain lids, which will also be nice for making gifts too. im going to get a picnic style basket off ebay or somewhere for one of my freinds birthdays and fill it full of foodie treats - she'll love it and ill have fun making it! Anyway, time for some tv....

    Evening everyone!

Lovely to hear from you again SomersetPrincess...and with so much good news as well. Many congratulations on your engagement and your baby.

And Johanna, I'm glad to hear Tesco has done something right for you. Hope your house hunting is progressing well, there is a little palace with your name on it somewhere...

I have been at home all day - took the day off to study for tomorrow's exam. However I am totally wiped out after yesterday's exam, plus as always I had rather disturbed sleep last night. It is so annoying! The worst thing is that I am finding it very difficult to do anything for tomorrow and am consequently totally unprepared. Aw well, there is a resit in April.

My central heating oil ran out yesterday evening...it was so cold today! However I found a firm who could deliver during the afternoon so I didn't have to put up with it for too long. The cost was £180 for 500 litres. I last got 500 litres in March and it cost me £127 then....what a difference. I am going to be extra stingy with it and try and make it stretch for 12 months. I just wish I had thermostatic valves on my radiators - I don't think I can turn any of my radiators off so some rooms are heated for no thing (though I can turn downstairs and upstairs off/on independently so downstairs is like a fridge).

My other expense today was Dylan's operation - £32. Poor little kitty is now a "LadyBoy". He huffed for about two hours when I got him home, but he's since sat on my shoulder wanting to be held and rubbed. Talk about putting me on a guilt trip.

    Breakfast was porridge.
Lunch was Ginger Nut biscuits, diet Pepsi (for reviving qualities but didn't work very well), cup of tea and more biscuits. Not a very satisfying meal I must admit.
Dinner was tuna steak - disgracefully put between two slices of bread and made into a sandwich. I even put ketchup on it. What a classy bird I am. Dylan got some too to help take his mind off things. He loved it but I should imagine he'd rather have had his nuts back...

Bye all, am off to stick my nose in my books again.

not much happened in the land of Hol today...just glacier revision (and it *is* interesting, honest!), 2 walks along seafront as revision breaks (i LOVE living at the seaside!), and then an emergency trip to local shop for chocolate and E-numbers (skittles) to make the revision that little more bearable.

Frozen something for tea tonight..Im not actually sure what it is, its brownish so i, guessing chilli, but not sure....will be interesting to find out.
Exam tomorrow morning, so early-ish bed

snowy - good luck for your next exam, did you manage to have today off work??

    take care peeps!

    hol x

edit: crossposted with snowy, so i know you got today off! good luck for tomorrow tho!
