Pizza dough made, bases formed and in freezer ... very oddly shaped! Methinks I may need to practice that bit!
WM on ... 2 loads to do this evening.
Home-made lasagne about to go in the oven for DH & I, thank heavens for my batch cooking t'other week! LOL!
On which note, I think I will go and get some more mince out of the freezer as I feel a cottage pie / chilli / bolognaise / meatball (never tried making these but sounds interesting) / lasagne extravaganza coming on!
And a big hurrah to Thriftlady for mentioning Foyle's War! Me happy now (doesn't take much, does it!?!)
Airers - I have 4, and a TD, but trying to avoid that as much as humanely possible. The best airer I have is one of those Victorian style ones which hangs from the ceiling, which I lower down and fill and then tie up. This is located in the utility room by a radiator and in front of the boiler (which has the front cover off, so generates more heat!)GC - March 2024 -0 -
oops - sorry - i seem to have sent that twice.
the bread loaf is in the oven and i've just done dumplings to throw into the SC for the last hour.
i'm getting hungry now - especially after PP's dinner menu - yum. i'd like to be able to do that but cooking for one isn't always fun
Cheers

Zed - I love those ceiling racks. We used to have one when I was a child and I still love them now. I hate it when you get these tv designers, who go into re-model a room and the first thing that has to go is the rack! (Anne Maurice certainly did it, but then she's american so that's got to be her excuse) I'd love one, but no-where to put one.
I've spent the afternoon in the living room, with my videos on and done all my ironing (except what's still in the WM, which will have to go in TD) However, I'm getting into the spirit of things and have reduced it's usage greatly (lots of rads in this house)
BM has been on, I've made tea (lentil and veg curry, but had to put leftover chicken in Mr TM's), so just had that with brown rice and a banana for pud. I'm just going to do a quick whip round of the boys rooms before they go to bed. It's been brill - they have played with their toys for hours today, with not a cross word between them.
Right, Mr TM has started the rounds of play-fighting with boys, on our bed, so I'll get into their rooms whilst I have chance
BTW - welcome Graham. I see you've become addicted very quickly0 -
Graham, I used to travel through Queensbury, my ears used to pop like decending in a plane!0

Hello everyone,
A late posting for me too. By the time I get on here you all seem to have done so much it makes my daily efforts look pathetic. Still, here goes... We had breakfast of either cereal or HM toast. Our late lunch was special offer lincolnshire sausages (99p from £1.99 in Somerfield), Mashed organic potatoes (49p from £1.99 Somerfield again) and baked beans (19p Morrisons). There were 4 empty plates so I reckon it hit the spot. Not bad to feed 4 for under £2 including squash and ketchup. Not all my meals are so thrifty but we don't do too badly.
BM is on making white bread for Monday's sandwiches and WM had done its fair share today too.
We went to watch DS play football at 1pm. His team won 5-0 and he scored 2 goals so we were all very pleased.
Last night I ordered a treat for myself. I have ordered a laptop from Dell. I have broadband but I need to get wireless-enabled so that I can log in from the comfort of my bed!
I still have school uniform and work clothes to iron and other wshing to sort out. Much of it is either on the airer or on radiators but I had to put towels in the TD as it is too cold for them to dry otherwise. I need to catch up on some paperwork later as well.
Welcome Graham. I'm an accountant too. I can't say I envy you doing the exams. It's not an experience I would like to repeat, but well worthwhile when they are behind you. I guess from the timing you are doing ACCA? I'm CIMA myself. I hope you enjoy OS as much as I do! They are a very friendly bunch.
