Only been up for an hour.

OH let me sleep in AND keep the kids quiet (Without the aid of rope or tape!!) and so I was obviously more tired than I thought I was! (LOL!)

So, having to catch up with the washing and stuff. No roast today..............

And I am not doing any more OSing today. Thats it really - that and stripping the beds.

Made an apple crumble last night - that went down a storm! Its was lovely. Although my butter went a bit funny. I wonder if you can over mix it? I think I did it too much (do it in my food processor) although the last lot was fine. I'll wander over to the butter thread later and take another peek.

    Have a nice day all!

EDIT: Welcome Graham!! (Posted before I knew you were here!)
  • i think i'm going to try thrift ladys banana bread recipe later.

and thanks every one for replying and being nice :)

    Cheers

    hey
am going to try to get back into the habit of posting here, makes me do more work when I read just how busy everyone is!

Took a load of stuff to the laundry bout 9ish, taking a load of revision to do whilst that was washed and part-dried, and then put it all on airer...my room is full of washing now
Then bike to shops, so I can eat for the next week :j , and a quick hoover of the communal areas of the flat

Now, its just endless revision...first exam tomorrow morning 9:30am...will be interesting to see if I can get up, out of the flat, and up to campus on time, seeing as how I have been being properly studenty and staying in bed til 11ish this last week....oops

    Hiya

Colchester Zoo was really good today - normally go in the summer with the crowds but today was lovely and empty - wasnt too cold either. PP you're right the restautant was good value which is unusual for those sort of places & we def did appreciate some warm food.

As we only live about 40 mins from Colchester am thinking of investing in the annual pass myself - dont know if will be able to use clubcard vouchers - but if could will be def worth it.

DD has just announced that she is 'bored' (only been home 1 hour!) so am gonna help her with some biscuit and cake making and do my ironing later.

    Have a good afternoon/eve all.

    Hi Everyone,
Have been up since 7.30am this morning with my DS. Have been playing with his potato head people which he had as a late Xmas gift off Outlaws. He enjoys putting the mouth on top of the head, and the arm where the nose goes. Have been with OH and DS to town to spend Argos vouchers, on new microwave and office chair. was really pleased as microwave was £3 less than advertised in brochure. Treated family to a late breakfast in Morrisons, and found out about a new play group opening in my area on a Thursday morning. Will be good for DS to have some new friends. All the other mother and toddler groups seem to meet up when I'm in work.
Nice to see some more new faces on the old style thread - welcome Graham_S. I am now enjoying a break after trimming my sons hair, and getting OH to bathe him. have a good day everyone...

  • thanks for all your welcomes :)

i've just been even more non OS - every year my mum never knows what she wants for birthdays & christmas so i normally get a bottle of baileys - i know not very imaginative. but this afternoon i've surprised myself and sorted out next christmas - me and my mum are off to see Cliff @ manchester Arena ! she has liked him since he started - i'm not a fan myself but i'm sure i can have fun. I took my ex to see Duran Duran before christmas and that was good.

    Cheers
