    Good Morning all,
Had a bad night ,jointwise ,I hate the damp weather. I stiften up and creak like an un-oiled gate . Good luck with the electrics PP.
College this morning , have to discuss my course-work with Tutor this morning. My brain is not in gear yet, then this afternoon I have Uni, and we are starting on the Tudors ,which will make a nice change from the Plantagenents (far too many of those all called Richard or Henry ,very confusing )
    Breakfast will be Porrige ,
    Lunch ,won't have time,
Dinner will be early as I will have missed lunch ,probably something from freezer.
Housework can whistle, as Tuesday is the day for working my little grey cells, and not hoovering.
Hope everyone has a good day,it's freezing cold here in North kent and damp as well .Roll on the spring. Went to my daughters for dinner last night, and she has some tiny little bulbs just pushing through in her front garden.
Have a good one what ever you are doing today

last night! I popped it on at 10.30pm and this morning at 6.30am I heard my next door neighbour spraying air freshener in the hallway (we live in a flat) to cover up the smell of my home cooking! :rotfl:

I have it for my lunch so hopefully it will be ok...

Maybe I should apologise to my neighbour for making the hallway smell of dinner time at 6.30 in the morning!
  • goodmorning all,
Glad to see jd in ,sorry to hear that you had a bad day with bills and the bank, hubby and i will be going soon (to bank) now that i told him about bank loan and i cant say that im looking forward to it!
P.P,I hope that every thing goes well with the stair lift today. If its any help ,when ds3 is being like any other kid (which isnt very often)then i feel like a money grabing harpie, but when he back to normal (for him )the extra money we get is nt just to help him but the whole family cope with whats a lots of heartache and pain .So maybe think of the stairlift and any dla as some thing to help the whole family.

Today i need to go down to get a cat litter box as hubby and ds4 brought home 2 kittens last night. (i said 1).So i was up at 6 this morning trying to find what they had done in the night.Dogs are still locked away from them but the other cats have met and hiss a hello!

    Morning :hello:

I've made a belated New Year Resolution to stop getting diverted to MSE every five minutes during work time, cos it only makes my concentration on my job worse :o

So I'm checking in now and will be back at lunchtime/this evening!

Got a whole lot of things organised at home yesterday - can't believe how many shoes I have (I mean I'm not Imelda Marcos or anything, but there are around 15 pairs if you count work shoes, summer shoes, casual shoes and "posh outfit" shoes - almost all of them bought at huge reductions!) :o I have a tendency also to keep hold of shoes which are past the end of their useful life - especially scruffy old trainers, and summer sandals which (let's be honest) smell like I've had me feet in them all summer! But I must be ruthless (easier said than done, as my name is Ruth) :D

Room still does not seem to look any tidier but if you look closely you can see that there are no piles of important paperwork shoved into corners any more (I was watching Spendaholics last night and that girl was in debt more than 150% of her income but soooo organised with her bank statement filing - well I'm the total opposite - I'm a complete slob with my paperwork but always keep control of the actual money :D)

Will be treating myself to a pricey takeaway lunch today - have been disorganised and failed to stock up the freezer with lunches for the week :o (tomorrow will be cheese and Marmite sandwiches but this morning I overslept and didn't have time to make them :o) There are a lot of real "foodie" places around here, with my office being so close to Borough Market, and I think I will be treating myself to a Thai Curry or similar at my favourite South Asian fusion takeaway. This will cost about £5 which is why I don't do it too often!

Also planning a visit to the cinema this evening to see The Producers. It's cheap night so the ticket will only be £3.80, but there's only one showing this evening so maybe I ought to book in advance (I suspect there's a booking fee...:()

Just realised how much use I've made of the :o smiley this morning :o

Have a nice day everybody - P-P I hope the electrics go OK, johanne I'm so pleased things finally seem to be looking up for you, tootles don't you just hate it when people take the p!ss like that?

    Catch you later

Hopefully I wont need to go out today (apart from the school run) and then I wont spend any money.

All I've got to do is wait in for some shopping from Tescos and the rest of the time I will be on here and doing a bit of tidying.

    Hiya, :)

    Thanks for the laugh! :D

We're trying to reduce the number of purely chatty posts here on Old Style and this is why we started the Daily Threads as a good place to have a chat without having to go to Discussion Time or The Arms all the time; so I've added your post to it.

    Still chuckling :)
