    Morning all.

Quite here today. I woke up in a blazing mood and told OH to shut up without even saying good morning :o I did apologise when he came out the bathroom but then DD got my back up as well by doing her usual tick of taking forever to get ready for school. This morning it was a "I've got all the time in the world to get ready for school so I'm going to sit here and read my recipe book instead of going to clean my teeth, get washed, get dressed and then have my hair done" mood at 8.15 when we leave for school at 8.40

The weather is wet and windy here so I'm staying in until later when I'll call at the butchers/post box on my way to pick DD up from school. Then again I might be really mean and just go the post box and we can have veg stew again :shhh:
Checked my CC online, £1333.30 and thats just on my card! There another £1994 on OH's :eek: I've paid my bill, just paid off a round £50 for the minute. I'm expecting an electric bill soon so I don't want to put all my money into the credit card and then have nothing to pay the electric bill with! Once that bill is in then I'll be on the web switching providers and making sure they set up a direct debit for both gas and electric ;)

I need to finish the washing up today, I've only just noticed a large baking tray from Saturday night sitting waiting to be washed under some pans from Sunday/Monday :o Will also have a go at fixing the front door again. I put a sticky draftexcluder tape around it only to discover I can't lock the mortice lock now! I'm not a happy bunny as we're out at least twice a day every day and we have way too much expensive stuff and no contents insurance to be leaving a dodgy frontdoor on just a yale. Trust me, I've broken in due to the stupid yale locks breaking at least twice since we moved in here and its easy! Maybe I shouldn't be bragging about it :shhh:

Oh well, I better ring readers digest to return the book they've sent me. We were going to get a series of books on history but at £20 a time and debts still needing to be paid, it's not an option!

    Morning everyone

wasn't going to come on here yet - but jusdt had a phone mystery shopping job to do and it's as easy to put the results online straight away :)

DS2 kept me awake most of the night. So, tonight, don't care how tired I am - he will be being frog-marched back to his own bed every time he appears. He can come for a cuddle from about 6.30

It's my first day on my own since way before Xmas - yippee. I'm sure I can find plenty to amuse me. Was going to go for a long bike ride but the heavens are currently dumping themselves all over the Ribble Valley, so I guess that'll be a no to that idea :D

Need to put a bol sauce in the SC in a bit and get some part-baked baguettes ready for making garlic bread. I shall be having either a veg and lentil curry or a kidney bean hotpot - haven't decided which yet.

The detox is going well, so far. I'm not suffering withdrawal symptoms from caffeine like poor old kiwi and as I don't eat processed food very much (baked beans and the odd chicken tonight sauce is my limit) I don't have lots of those sorts of toxins to shift. I don't drink all that much so alcohol isn't a problem BUT..... .......

I hadn't realised how addicted to sugar I had become :( Since I've become really OS, I have been baking more and often make a pud. So, last night, I wasn't hungry, but I knew I was missing something sweet and unctious - I nearly nabbed one of the kids Jammy Dodgers, but didn't. Ended up making plain popcorn (used an oil sprayer to coat very lightly with EV Olive oil and zapped in micro for 5 mins), then ate fruit and at 9pm went and sat in the bath with a glass of OJ, some houmous on oatcakes and a good book. I expect it will tke a couple of days.....

Anyway, off to message kiwi and we can chat about our cravings :D

    Have a good day

    Morning folks

JD.. flamin banks!!! We are all just a number to them!!!Good job you are strong.

PP.. Thinking of you hun. x x x

((((HUGS))))) to all who had a bad night.

Jobs for today are, bath the dog then clean the bathroom, clean and tidy upstairs, put BM on, wash bedding, do tomorrows packed lunches, make tea, make a triffle, do some paperwork.

    B... porridge
    L... soup
D... Beef stew and dumplins / triffle

Tescos are coming between 10 and 12 with my big shop.. have used a code off the vouchers board that gives 1500 CC points with shops over £100.. so have ordered lots of bulk items like loo rolls, pop, coffee, wine boxes, washing powder, Tins etc..and also they have allinsons bread flour BOGOF so have ordered 10 white and 10 wholemeal... so hopefully over the next few months my bill should be quite low.

    Catch ya laters. x x x x x
  • My first post on this thread although I have lurked a lot. You are such a nice, supportive group of people

I will be joining the `not sleeping very well` brigade. It`s me age though. Wake up in the small dark hours every day for the last two years. Hot as anything. It makes the nights too long and me too dopey during the day. Ah I remember well the days when I slept through. Bliss!!

I stay busy during my day as I could easily have an afternoon nap at 2pm. My body clock always wants to shut down at that time

SC is on crammed to the top (3.5l) with sauercraut, veg, polish sausage etc as I have decided to make a peasant Polish dish called bigos. I was going to half fill it but the subliminal MSE message popped into my brain and I have made enough to freeze.

Breakfast was muesli and orange juice
    Lunch don`t know yet

Still ploughing through cupboard and freezer items. I want to start again with an inventory before buying any more items, so am avoiding the food shops

I went to makro and bought a cheap filing case and started to sort paperwork yesterday. Will finish that today.

Dreary weather here. It is hard for folks to stay cheerful. Going for a walk under the trees soon as am lucky enough to live amongst glorious old trees. They do energise, so I get amongst them several times a day with my old dog. The whole ambience is one of hibernation though. I think we would be better off if we could do the same.
  • Morning everyone,

OH gone back to work today but DD2 and DS are still at home with chest infections. DD1 has gone to school (walking on her own for the first time)- it did bring a tear to my eye!!

Ironing to do this afternoon and a general tidy up - then i may be brave enough to face DS bedroom lol

Breakkie - porridge for me and cereal for kids
    Dinner - wraps/sandwiches
Tea - Brisket done in SC

Hope everyone has a good day

    Liz x
  • Hiya!

Firstly, JamieDodger- sorry about the car and all the messed up DD's, must be such a pain, hope you manage ok this month, will be really hard with 4 kids, I have 3 and that's hard enough!

Johanne - Really good luck with your job interview!! Hope you get it :D

Slept badly last night and have a splitting headache this morning. Really fed up as I feel like everyone is *to be said in Mafia style accent* disrespecting me!! Lately , my two boys are just so lippy, don't listen to anything I say and always play up in front of other people and make me embarrased!! Now I know that they are kids and I'm the adult etc and I shouldn't let it bother me but at the moment it really does! To top it off OH 'disrepected' me in front of a friend yesterday and that was the last straw!!!!! Anyway, XBOX and Gameboy have been disconnected and hidden away until some improvement is noted - I will not put up with it anymore!! That's enuff moaning for now...

    Good morning

I have to say I slept very well last night, as I went to my first keep fit class - and as I am not used to doing an hours exercise, came home, had a bath & went to bed!
At least I survived. I had had nightmares the night before of keeling over with a heart attack or something similar!!!! The scales there said I was 6lb heavier than my ones at home do, though. I wonder if my trainers weigh 3lb each?! (actually I suspect my clothes & trainers probably weigh in at about 4 stone in total ... although a quick glance in the mirror soon disabuses me of that one)

Also yesterday I spent ages going throught the accounts, bank & savings, and got Money up to date. I had really let things slip over the past few weeks, & had not been making a note of spending or putting things on Money or anything, so was beginning to panic about how big the overdraft was likely to be! But, having sorted it all out, it's not as bad as I thought it might be! So all in all, yesterday turned out better than expected!

Today, have done washing, half is in TD and other half on washing line.
Vacuumed, cleaned bathroom, made beds, tidied bedroom, emptied d/w & put stuff away. Still need to make that menu planner though.

    B: cereal
    L: toast probably
    D: jacket potatoes

DS is working away happily in the living room, he's writing a story at the moment. Somehow I have managed to lose his maths, perhaps I have tidied it up somewhere!!!

    Have a good day, everyone

Have you ever had one of those days when you make plans and then all of a sudden you think "NO. I can't be bothered. I'm having a day off!" ? Well I'm having one of those days :D The bedrooms are tidy enough, bathroom is presentable, and the kitchen is nearly there as it's still got dirty dishes by the sink BUT they're only pans and I'll do them after dinnertime. Okay, so the livingroom has got some piles and the floor could do with a clean (not just a brush/hoover) but I just can't be bothered so I think I'll sit here and spend the day surfing or playing games ;) Ideally I would like to go back to bed but I know how much trouble I have getting up at the best of times so I'd probably sleep through having to pick DD up! Think I might take the video upstairs and set it up to record CSI and medium tonight instead of staying up to watch them. OH and I was supposed to be having a couple night (note: not DATE night, just time together as us and not as mummy/daddy/family manager/IT technician etc) but unless he wants to go to bed around 8.30 (or even earlier the way I feel) to sleep (:naughty: keep it clean please this is a family board!) he can have another IT night :(

Rightie oh, lets go have a look around ....
