What a nice post- thank you very much Taplady :A I've got so many nice friends on Ol'Style. I'm told I look like a pint-sized version of the lead singer from Right said Fred;) You know the one who was tooo sexy for his shirt or summat! Mrs MATH thinks he's luuuuuurvly - good job really. hehehe

When Mrs MATH worked in London she was often mistook for Dawn French which was great for blagging free drinks and upgrades. I tried to pass myself off as Lenny Henry but they had me sussed straight away. Must be cos I'm a bit shorter than him.

    Good Afternoon All

Not done much oldstyle today, Mon & Tues are my main office days so just keep on top of everthing else then will do big housework hit wednesday.

Have done a load of washing which will be ironed tonight & put away tomm as really want to keep on top of this & no more ironing mountains.

Didnt get out for a long walk today as had to go into town to pick up holiday tickets (am going at eom). But will def make time for this tomm.

Dinner tonight is left over gammon, mash and egg. Then after dinner will be helping DD & DS with homework - try to get as much of this done the early part of the week.

Hope you all have a lovely evening.

Go without coffee?? Are you mad woman? It's the only thing that kick starts me into action in the morning.

I did try Dandelion root coffee once but it wasn't the same :(

Not much OS here today, I only got about 4 hours sleep last night and I've spent all morning in Boots picking up reduced bargains and free lotions & potions in an attempt to make myself look half-decent! Saved a fortune though, I ended up paying £38 for £168 worth of stuff!

PP, chin up pet! You seem such a lovely person, it's awful that you feel sad. Just think of your stairlift as a Kenwood Chef for the stairs - a wonderful labour saving device!

Moggins, I know exactly how you feel! My DS moved out a couple of months ago and I miss him so much, he knows me inside out and is my shoulder to cry on. Whenever DH has been ill or in hospital & I've found it hard to cope DS has always known and helped me physically & emotionally, he's only 19 but wise beyond his years. He only lives about 10 miles away and comes home to raid the fridge once a week, but he does ring me every day bless him.

  • Thanks for all the lovely replies :D I will take on board using the stairlift as a ride..LOL...watch out Chessington  I do care about you all and you keep me going daily...and im not just saying that-I mean it (((((((((HUGS))))))))) to everyone and for all the PM's.

The thing is....I havent told any of my family Im having one fitted :o they know im not well but havent told them to what extent..dont like pity and am sure my mum thinks theres nothing wrong with me anyway. I just feel abit of a fraud IYKWIM. Good days are still not great but can do a few bits and pieces :D OH keeps saying that the council wouldnt be paying out for it, if they thought I didnt need it-which I suppose is true, but then when I have the odd good day-I just wonder what im moaning about. This is going to sound ungrateful/harsh-but I also dont want my house looking a mess and looking like a crip lives here :rotfl: Anyway-Im going to go ahead with it and if not needed in a few months, they can take it away...cant they!!! LOL

Went with OH to get DD and we popped into Iceland on way home as they have some mega deals ATM. 80 T-bags 25p decent ones bought 8, biccies foxs creams 25p bought 6, veggie burgers and curries 25p bought 4, foxs glacier mints 25p bought 8, salmon fishcakes 50p bought 4, fish pie and salmon pies 50p bought 4, petit pois 50p bought 4, chips 25p bought 4, choccy biccies 50p, nescafe 200g £1.75 bought 2, loads of other stuff and spent £30 but, will not need any food for weeks or months

Had a phonecall out the blue from my old cleaner (who worked for us 3 years ago when we were both working FT) to see how we all are. I called her about 5 months ago and asked if she wanted to come back (shes a lovely person and trust her totally) but she had started a new job at a care home and wasnt able too. She has now left and offered her services as she felt guilty about saying she couldnt help last time. Explained the situation and she was fine. She said to call for anything and if things dont work out with my current cleaner that she is always there for me-even if its a couple of hrs a week. Said to OH that if cleaner is ill, on holiday, starts messing us around or we're away-I would have her back ASAP-shes the only one i would have in my home by herself. Think she still has my old door key...LOL. It was lovely to hear from her and really needed it today :D I must keep in contact with her and will now call her at least once a month-have noted it in my diary.

OH's curry was fine but very hot  Dinner for OH & I are a salmon fishcake (DD having left over chicken) and boiled new pots from yesterday with carrots/peas.

Johanne-thats fantastic news :T about time you had something positive happen...you go girl  I hope it all goes ahead and with no hitches

MATH-Whatever your going through ATM-just keep your faith and you will be OK (((((HUGS HUN)))))))

Anyways, may pop head in later, but thanks again for all the inspiring comments-find it difficult to understand how strangers can be so lovely :D

    Love to you all.
