Oh PP, I really wish there was something I could say that I knew would make you feel better, about your situation and about yourself. You are a bloody good person, one who inspires us lot on a daily basis. You've helped me out of an emotional whirlpool more than once and you dont even know me! You have a family who love you and think the world of you,and a virtual one that think the same. Please dont give up on yourself. You are so, so loved.Big hugs darlin'.

    Hi, ((((PP))))

I agree wholeheartedly with Mrs B.
And why shouldn't you have something to make things a bit easier now and again? But I do know what you mean about not wanting to have the thing fitted.
I just want to say thanks to you for all the times you have inspired me on this board.

    Hi

but just so p*ssed off!!!! I find it so frustrating and at 31, never thought it would be like this

    Why me

    PP
    xx

:grouphug: for PP. I know it's a corney ol illustration but rememeber the bumble bee (like wot your avatar is) IT CAN'T FLY. It's body is too large and heavy and it's wings far far too small. Even if it could get it's fat @rse off the ground all the weight it at the back it wouldn't be able to see where it was flying and would surely crash. The laws of gravity and aerodynamics are against it. Except, somebody forgot to tell the bumble bee so knowing no better it did get it's fat @!!!!!! off the ground, flapped it's far far too small wings and took off. Weeeeeeeeee look at me... they said I couldn't fly.
Don't give up PP until they nail down the lid.

You're not going to need the stair lift on ya good days so rather than it sitting there doing nothing hozabout making some hard cash. Here's what ya do. Strap a tranny radio to the back of the seat, turn up full blast to some pop station. Get Mr PP to tinker with the wireing to soup it up a bit and hire it out as a fair ride. Say £3.50 a go and you get second go half price if you don't break any bones. Alton Towers better look to their laurals when PENNY PINCHER WORLD opens up.:D

    Thinking of ya poppit

PP Anything that makes life easier should be taken advantage of, that's why things like this were invented. Just think you could be stuck in an age or a country where things like this are unheard of. And you never know, once the pressure is taken off your body it could start healing itself instead of wasting it's energy by hiking up and downstairs :D

I thought I would cheer myself up by going and buying some new ankle boots as the ones I have been walking around in have big smiles at the front :D Got some lovely comfy ones for 9.99, it appears my keyboard is playing around again :( no pound sign!

Spent 8 quid in Boots but got nearly 600 points back and got some of next years christmas presents and 10m rolls of christmas wrapping paper for 50p a roll. Also bought DD2 a much needed new coat in Debenhams sale for 15pounds and then found a gorgeous red one with white fur in a charity shop for 3.99 so bought that one too :D

Kept seeing lovely things for DD1 and felt even sadder though. Might give her a ring tomorrow and see if she wants to arrange a shopping trip with her mum.

Hear Hear to what Kiwichick and lots of others have said, PP. Thinking of you. Just think how nice it'll be to be able to go up and down stairs whenever you want without having to struggle!(((((((hugs))))))

Moggins (((((((hugs))))))) you are bound to miss your DD but it will mean that seeing her or talking on the phone will be even more of a pleasure than before. My DDs have both left home and one of them (+ her husband and DS) used to live in a HA flat only 5 minutes' walk away, then they were offered a house so we have to use the car to visit her now, but we chat on the phone quite a lot which is lovely. Outings together are a real treat.

Math Do hope you feel better soon ! Such a lot of people are thinking of you.

Rage in Eden - good luck with the new job. Is it the same sort of work or will you be having a complete change?

    (((((hugs))))) to everyone who's ill.

My DD2 has just been round to look at buggies on the internet, so I gave her the till receipt on which I'd jotted down people's recommendations from a thread on the "Families" thread! :rotfl:

She hasn't even had her first scan yet but keeps hoping for twins.....

Hope everyone has a good afternoon, and for those who've had a bad morning I hope your day improves!

Ooooooooooooooooo I got some exciting news... am viewing a house on wednesday night with my friend... its £150 a month more rent than here.... BUT its a new build (mines old victorian place), its 3 bedrooms (mines 2) it has a GARDEN (mine has a yard) and oh my godddddd... these following bits are the best bits... it has a brand new fully fitted kitchen which includes a large fridge freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher!!! Im struggling with an old manky broken fridgefreezer i had to buy 2nd hand, sending my washing to my mums to be washed as cant afford and dont have room for a washing machine and i HATE washing my dishes they pile up for days on end!! :o :rotfl: Plus my kitchen is sooo basic it only has 2 cupboards and the doors etc are falling off! AND this house has a proper bathroom with a POWER shower... i dont even have a shower at the mo and my bathroom is an old bedroom converted and has about 10 tiles on the wall so the wallpaper is becoming all nasty n stuff when it gets wet and cheap lino on the floor where the floorboards move under it and nails stick through.... so this new place sounds like a palace compared to it!! :j :j :j :j

I have a friend in the same street whos just started renting a new house so im assuming its gonna be the same as they have a very similar sounding spec house on a brand new estate so im assuming thats what this is and their house is GORGEOUS! i didnt wanna leave when i visited the other week! hahaha

Sorry im just soooooo excited! Even estimating that the council tax will be in a really high band.... it should only cost us £405 at the most each per month...... im paying £425 in rent alone!!!!!! OH MY GOD! How mad is that????

Gotta wait till wednesday for the viewing though.. dont wanna am so excited - i didnt get this excited over xmas!! :rotfl:

  • Ivyleaf: It's the same sort of thing I've alwasy done - medical secretary - only instead of at a GP surgery it's at the big cancer hospital in Manchester and it's a new post and a new consultant so I'll have a couple of people under me as well (well, an assistant med sec and a clerk) so that should be good. Mr Rage has said he will take me and bring me home around his Asda shifts and I have told him that I expect MORE help around the house. He's just rung up to tell me that the chicken curry is done and he's put another ( ) loaf in the bread maker and it's "gone mad and is everywhere2 and that he had to take the top off as soon as it was done and toast it so the breadmaker lid could shut - yeah, like I'm falling for that one :rotfl:

PennyPincher: I think the idea of a fun ride is very good :D you could put fairy lights on your as well so you could operate in the dark..... Mr PP could make candy floss - well, it was just a suggestion ;)
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
  • OOOOOOOOH joanne :j :j :j this sounds fab - let's all have a mass concentrate on getting this for Joanne - altogether now......... hommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......
