hope hubby is ok hun,.and as others have said thankfully the children weren't in the seats.definately get him to go to a+e to check his neck out.

elderly drivers are a bugbear of mine.........i've always thought that when they reach retirement age they should have to be retested every year or two.
many very elderly drivers didnt even pass a test to begin with as they learned in the army and suchlike-this was how both my nanb and grandad learned and never had to take a test.also my hubby's grandad and omg you'd never ever want to be in a car with him!!!

    Morning everyone

kiwichick - how dreadful. Tell dh to get to the hospital now. I suffered a whiplash injury years ago and didn't deal with it properly - causes me no end of trouble now :( (This isn't to worry you tho - most heal fine and mine wasn't car related, but a more complicated injury.)

Anyway - had lots of sleep - eventually, even tho DS2 appeared at 4.20 again, but had to sleep with me cos I wasn't changing wet sheets at that time! :)

I've just had 2 poached duck eggs on toast for brekkie. Never had them before and absolutely gorgeous. So rich and creamy and yellow :D Only £1 for 6 so cheaper than organic in Tescos - will be getting them again. Yum.

Was going to go for a bike ride this morning cos it's lovely and sunny - but there's also a thick frost, so will leave it for now (I've always admitted I'd be a fair weather cyclist :rotfl: ) Will see what it's like later. Just enjoying an empty house for now, so this afternoon would be a good excuse for Mr TM to mind them both for an hour again :D

Have a major ironing mountain to tackle later and lots more still to wash. I'm using my airer and the rads so I think in the past 2 weeks I've only used the TD 3 times -and 2 were for my bedding which has to be done in there.

Bought lots of folders yesterday so need to make a start on some filing soon. Not only does the everyday stuff need sorting, but I must get together all the insurances and endowments etc and put in one place, in case anything happens IYKWIM.

Right, off for a surf while I'm on my own. Have a good day ;)

((((Kiwi & Hubby)))))) - Definetely get him checked out at the A&E, I think there is only a couple of days to get it diagnosed or you cant claim for it. Fingers crossed it all gets sorted out promptly. I hope it all works out for you.

Elderly drivers are a nightmare, I was once behind an old guy on a slip road to the motorway only doing 20mph, it was dangerous and scary so I got off the slip road as soon as I could, but he just didnt react to the traffic and grazed another drivers car as he was coming on the actual motorway itself. One came into my work the other week too needing a £30chq drawn as he had parked dangerously and had got a ticket. They should be retested frequently!

It's obviously the season for potty training. My DS2 is 4 in May, and off to school in Sept and point blank refuses - he will wee in the loo if he's in the house and got no clothes on/just trackies, but he'll quite happily wet himself and not care  And as for No 2's - well, he won't sit down, but I'm sure we can deal with that later. My health visitor said to put him back in nappies 24/7 and try later - I'm ear-marking 1/2 term as DS1 is away with Mr TM so we can hole up at home and try. What fun!!

Annoyingly, DS1 was the easiest child to train, day and night :( Ah well. We'll all get there......sometime :D

Well my lovely lazy (ish) sunday has turning HORRIBLE! DH went to shops to get papers and laundry liquid, coming home and an eldery man has come around the roundabout the WRONG WAY and hit him head on. The old boy and dh say they are ok but dh has a very sore neck so possible whiplash I suppose. The car has caught fire so he is waiting on the fire brigade to arrive. UNBELIEVABLE!!! All 3 carseats are in the car too and are now unusable - more expense!

I am sorry to hear that. Hope hubbie is ok and everyone else. The insurance will pay for the car seats. When i had a accident i had the money within 2 weeks for the car and the car seats and buggy. But thats still 2 weeks you are out of pocket i know.

What was that old man thinking

    Hugs to you and hubby

Not to bad he has done on wee in the potty. He is fine when he has nothing on but the moment i put pants or trousers on him he thinks he has a nappy on and does a wee in them.

My son is 3 1/2. He is dry at night he goes in his nappy within 10 mins of getting up.

They will get there i am sure just a long road ahead.

DS pre-school said put him in pants and just let us change him once you put pants on him dont revert back to nappys.

    Morning peeps.

Kiwichik and hubby - Hope everything is ok. As others have said at least kids not in car and no one seriously injured. Still a pain in the you know what tho'!

Last night we went to visit our friends for a bit. So glad we went. Had such a good laugh and feel it really cheered me up! We spoke about going away for a few days probably just to a caravan. So this morning I had a look and there were top of the range caravans to hire for 3 nights from £88!! So it would only be £44 each! Hubby not overly keen but I am sure I can try and twist his arm ;)

Chicken in slow cooker for dinner and veggies prepared and in fridge to cook later.

No set plans for today. Probably just mooch round house and find some jobs to do. I do have some recipes I just copied and pasted last week from a thread so will properly sort and print them out.

    Take care everyone.
