Hello all
big big hugs k/wso glad ur hubby wasn't badly hurt. Sorry but I have a big gripe with oaps driving, I can't believe how dangerous some of them are, I nearly got ran over by an old lady a couple of weeks ago, the only reason she missed was coz I jumped out the way. I think from the age of 65 people shouldn't be allowed to drive at all, Don't they realise how dangerous they are :mad:
Graham - what great news for you, :j hope it all goes really well, can I have an invite to the wedding please
Queenie - hope your boys feel better real soon, I hate seeing poorly kids and thanks for the info on medi boxes.
PP hope you feel better soon
To all those also potty traing, Oh don't you just love the smell of fresh pee :rotfl: My dd 2yo is really good as long as she has no clothes on, and will use the potty or toiley 99% of the time, but put her knickers on and its a different story, I think she just forgets that she doesn't have a nappy on and goes. We will get there in the end I think they will all be trained by the time they hit there teens :T well If we are lucky :rotfl:
had warm h/m bread and jam for brunch and are off out bowling later as its my friends little boys birthday - shes paying :j wouldn't be able to go if she didn'tdoing a stew for tea, which I must go and put on,

I hurt my knees and feet in the accident we had a couple of months ago. I was told it was a common injury as the legs lift and hit the floor quickly. Hope he gets sorted quickly.The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

Good afternoon all
Good luck to those who are potty training, my grandson will start that soon.
Hugs to all who are under the weather.
Had a lie in this morning, didn't get up till nearly 8, couldn't get on the PC as hubby was hogging it.
Am cooking roast pork for lunch & rice pud for afters.
It's peacefull hear at the mo, stepson went out yesterday lunchtime & has not yet returned. Just as well, his latest idea is to start a car valeting business in my front garden, he was intending to collect & deliver the cars! I wish he would grasp the idea that having no licence & insurance means few people will trust him with their car!
Oh well, I'm sure he will grow up one day.
Blessings to you all.

Kiwi - did the police attend? If not, as your dh has an injury, they should have attended at the time, but ring them now - it's a legal requirement to do so within 24 hours and in anycase - as soon as you can (ie don't leave it 24 hrs) They can alwasy meet him at A&E if neccesary.
(((hugs)))

Well, hit the shops but didnt find much, but thats prob good news for my bank balance, but did treat myself to some nice food in M & S, which i dont do very often.

Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to everyone xxxxxxx0 -
Afternoon everyone.
Didn't post yesterday as me and DH went to IKEA and Meadowhall shopping. I needed some storage jars for the kitchen as the bags upon bags of flour aren't that pretty. There were some great displays in IKEA, which inspired us to think about decorating the living room. We spent some of yesterday evening pricing it up. Also went for a drive in the peaks, and stopped off at a lovely pub for a late lunch/early dinner. (first 'date' since our wedding 3 months ago)
Talked to my mum yesterday evening about perhaps having a bit of a vegetable patch at her house. My nephew (5yo - bless him) wants to help. Mum was agreeable as they have a half acre overgrown field at the bottom of the garden. My15yo brother currently uses for quad biking. My only problem might be that mum has a large population of wild cats and rabbits - but its still probably worth a try.
Kiwichick - hope your husband is ok. If it is whiplash, you can usually get the other persons insurance company to pay for some physiotherapy if its needed. I found it really beneficial when i crashed a few years ago.
DH has washed up and got the WM on this morning while i had a lovely bath and self massage. (Got a gorgeous spa hamper of products so followed the instructions from that). He's now gone to the shops to get sandwich fillings and milk, and hopefully two chickens for £5. I need to get the BM on. Sausages are out defrosting for this evening. Roast dinner me thinks. (leftover sausages for tomorrow to have in a tomatoe sauce with pasta)
Try to have an enjoyable day whatever you are up to. Remember that time with the family is time to treasure.

Hello everyone
Kiwichick, how awful for your poor hubbie! It is quite a shock when that sort of thing happens. As everyone else has advised he really must go and get his neck seen to. Insurance and money are important, but his health and fitness are much, much more important - a bit of care and advice from an expert now can only be beneficial.
I'm being a right lazy mare today - got up at midday, though this was preceded by a very patchy sleep from about 2.00 am when I went to bed. Unfortunately I wasn't out raving or partying, just sat on me bum at the laptop or else reading a book.
The tales of potty training are causing me all sorts of palpitations. I don't have children myself, but you must all have the patience of saints and angels. I don't think I could do it. However I have to mention that my adorable little kitten Dylan p*ssed on my bed earlier...on the duvet so it's not through to the mattress...but grrrrrr!!!! Adorable little kitten my !!!!!!!! He has done this before but not for ages and ages, thought he had got the message when I picked him up everytime he came upstairs and brought him down to his litter tray.
Breakfast = tea and toast
Lunch = egg and toast
Dinner = probably Cottage Pie, bought some mince yesterday. Will put it into portion sized overproof dishes - have one tonight and freeze the rest for future use.
Right, gotta go and tackle a bit of housework.
Bye!

Decided to start to walk 10,000 steps a day - so off I set with pedometer on - did 7000 steps - got home - showered and changed clothes and then realised that the stupid pedometer only now registers 1 step for every 6 I take!
Making a late Sunday lunch - home made yorkie,roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots and green beans with mushy peas and garlic and lemon chicken.
Fruit pie and custard to follow and I will have a mullerlight and fruit instead.
