After my mad day baking yesterday, I'm going to take it easy today. Didn't realise that the mixture i made yesterday was enough to make 4 quiches. Fortunately had enough eggs and cheese to go round. They do look lovely if i do say so myself! Gave 2 away, froze one and the other is today's lunch.

Need to pop to tescos today just for fresh veg/fruit and any bargains that are floating about. Also DD needs some jeans - now only £1.75 a pair. Probably produced in some far eastern sweat shop i know....

    B - porridge
L- HM quiche, jacket pot, salad
D- HM chow mein warmed up form yesterday.

Ah - potty training. Good luck!

Lady came and took the dog this morning. They got on well yesterday, she took her for a walk and showed me some photos of her house/garden/parkland. She bought her other dog too to see if they got on! Anyway, she was back this morning at 7.30 to collect the dog (before the kids got up) so we are pet less now.
The girls haven't actually noticed yet..........................................................

So with the money I have sold her for, I am off to B&Q to have a look at house alarms (need one now as there is no-one to bark!) and the rest in the savings pot.

I want to take OH to Grand Prix in June, but its not cheap. I have lots of Discworld collectables to have started to list some of those on Ebay and reckon I should make £200 out of that (heres hoping anyway!)

WM is not actually on this morning! (Only cos I haven't got round to it yet!)

Lunch will be Spag Bol. Yes, I know its Sunday, but I forgot to get the joint out of the freezer yesterday. I REALLY must start making notes about these things. I am always forgetting to defrost stuff, and it messes up my meal plans!

Have a great day everyone - and good luck with plans!
  • Morning all

Hope you are all well today ?

I also hang my washing out to blow a litt PP - then put on the heater to finish off - we have been lucky here the last couple of weekends - it has been sunny and dry.

Made a granary loaf yesterday - it tasted lovely - even DSD tried it and loved it and she is one of the quirkiest eaters known to man.

Borrowed friends dog and went for a long walk near a local loch - fed the swans and ducks.

Had dinner when we came home the DSS asked to make his cheesecake so I let them loose in the kitchen - he made the cheesecake and DSD made the Oaty Biscuits. had little bit of a hiccup - picked up Chive and onion Soft cheese :o:o instead of plain (I had been joking with him in the car on the way home that it was the onion one they used in school) - so he to run quickly to the local Spar - £1.29 for a small soddin tub that you can get for 45p in Asda or Sainsburys (and the tubs are larger) Biscuits turned out lovely - cheesecake is in Freezer for after dinner tonight.

Planning to make some veg broth today to use up vegs in fridge and will probably have to make another loaf.

B / L - scrambled egg with toasted Granary bread
D - Roast chicke, spuds, sweetcorn, HM yorkies with cheesecake for afters

Powie - 3 cats are easy - gets a bit difficult when the all want attention at the same time - wouldn't be without them.

DW on - will need to be emptied soon - off to enjoy my :coffee:

Must stay up late tonight to watch Nip/Tuck - we find out who the Carver is

Take care all and have a lovely day

    Morning everyone :hello:

Rough night's sleep last night due to going to bed too late and DS1 waking up at around 4.30am (!!) and wanting to get up!!! Eventually managed to get him back off to sleep, than DS2 woke up - I was up around 6.45am!

Needless to say, not felt like doing much so far! Have emptied DW and folded some laundry. Normally do ironing on Sunday morning - but that'll have to wait until later! Got a load (or 2) of washing to put on aswell!

DS1 has gone to swimming lesson, DS2 has a party to go to at 11am!

Dinner will be roast chicken, potatoes, veg, yorkshire puds etc.. Will have to have this evening due to party being 11-1.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Hi All

Late coming on today, but been busy at work

My epic hours are finally catching up with me and I'm sick, but still working. Went for a 7 mile walk yesterday, and managed to jog quite a bit of it and shave 20 minutes of last week's time. Four weeks today until the half marathon

Got work's recycling to do today and hoping to pop into town for a bit.

Having roast chicken for dinner, which will turn into sarnies for work.

Might go for a jog later, but doubt it!!

    Hope everyone's ok

    Morning!

I can tell I needed my sleep last night as ive only just woken up! Just having my cup of tea and have paid the rest of the council tax but im wondering when the next one comes in as I dont know if ive got a month or two of no payments that I can sling towards the debts.

Today I intend to go out and buy myself a mop of some description and have a good clean up and hopefully do all the laundry and ironing thats lying around. Im also going to nip to the supermarket to do a shop for the week but I need to meal plan for the week as I intend to get organised as im still overspending a little each week. I fancy doing a soup for my lunches in the slowcooker and freezing them as Ive got my soup containers (£3 for 12 off ebay) now. Id also like to do some dessert thing for me as ive still got a cold and need to eat lots! Ive got half a can of coconut milk in the fridge that id like to put in it too, so im thinking maybe a coconut cake/biscuits. Im going to have a look for some reduced cream too as id like to make some butter!

Aside from that I want to have a rest and prepare for work again tomorrow> Boyf is at his p/t job from 5 this evening so no roast today, dinner is likely to be something simple I can ust throw in the oven with a salad or something. Anyway - must get on and plan!

Hope you all have a good day!

    Jo xx

Well my lovely lazy (ish) sunday has turning HORRIBLE! DH went to shops to get papers and laundry liquid, coming home and an eldery man has come around the roundabout the WRONG WAY and hit him head on. The old boy and dh say they are ok but dh has a very sore neck so possible whiplash I suppose. The car has caught fire so he is waiting on the fire brigade to arrive. UNBELIEVABLE!!! All 3 carseats are in the car too and are now unusable - more expense!

Hope your OH is ok! Get him to go to A&E if necessary re: his neck!

Re: Car seats - can claim on insurance (although, of course, they never give you what it ACTUALLY costs to replace them!) Have you got receipts etc??

Thankfully, as Charlotte664 says, your children weren't IN the seats!!!!!!

Look after yourselves and try to have as good a day as possible! I know it's horrible when this sort of thing happens (we've had 1 car stolen/burnt out and 2 crashes - 1 a write off, in the past 3 years!) but the most important thing is that noone appears to be seriously injured!!!:grouphug:
