Well, they are now asleep - 3 hours later  so whilst I wait for the WM tofinish its 2nd load of the day I have got the BM on again (may as well slice and freeze while I have time) and am running a BIG HOT BUBBLE BATH :p . I NEVER get to have along bath and so am making the most of it before we move as the new place has a water meter  .

Have just reserved a juicer online at argos for £9.99 and as I have a £10 voucher from shop and scan its really FREE :T. So off to shops for me later, hope to nab some end of sale bargains. My pressie box is looking really healthy and the budget seems to be coping (just) under the strain of monthly saving for pressies rather than cc spends at xmas.

PP-Hope you start to feel better soon love and manage to relax a bit today before your buffet tonight (sounds yummy BTW).
MATH-Hope you and Mrs MATH enjoyed your evening of fun and frivolity ;)
JO-Just reading the posts from yesterday and you've inspired me to go to IKEA, we havea massive one here and I've never been.

Right, WM finished so off to hang that out and stick another in (will it ever end?) and then into that lovely bath.

    Good morning everyone.

Very dark and miserable here in bonnie Scotland. Feel like I havent seen proper daylight for weeks!

First load of washing in - towels and bathmats. Will get a load of jeans in when finished. I am on "casual dress" at work at moment so jeans are getting done weekly as opposed to the normal twice or 3 times a month.

Chicken in slow cooker for dinner later and potatoes, parsnips, sweet pots and carrots all prepared as well.

No set plans for the day. Like to just relax on a Sunday before I go back to work tomorrow. Had a longish weekend as I don't work Fridays and this was my Saturday off. Still doesn't feel long enough tho'!

Been having problems with the boiler and waiting on parts for it. Had been temporarily fixed last week and been working fine until last night when it decided now just to work when it wants. At the moment no hot water and heating but will leave it for a bit then try again. Hopefully the repair man is coming back tomorrow to fix properly.

Well I hope everyone has a lovely day.

    Bye for now.

  • Morning all,

Sorry to hear about thoses that had no sleep, its the worst thing in the world. Hope you have a restful day and they sleep tonite.

WM is on, have put the remainders of HM soup in the freezer.

Done a load of washing up.

My plan for today is to do what i should have done yesturday. I did not get to do it as my car door decided that is was not going to shut   . I had to call out the AA who took 1hour 35 mins to get to me  .The man got it to shut again but i can not use the door so i have to climb over the pasangers seat  . The car is already booked in as it has some other things wrong with it so i will ring Mercedes up and tell them to add this to the list on Monday. This is not what you expect from a new car its only 4 months old and it has been in the garage a total of 6 times adding up to 3 weeks and i have had to have the AA out twice

    Anyhow

    Have a good day all

    Bye

    Good Morning

Well as I had a lovely day yesterday and didnt do any housework or cooking I am feeling quite energised today.

Plan of action - empty washing basket and do all ironing.
    Sweep downstairs
    Quick clean of bathrooms
Nip into village for some veg for dinner
    Cook roast dinner
Then will head to my office to make a head start on my paperwork.
Children may have some friends popping in today - but if not will take the dog for a lovely long walk over the park.

With reference to the Lamb/Slo Cooker question - I havnt done lamb in there yet but there are definately suggestions in the index. I think that most people put a little water in the bottom.

    Have a good day!

    Morning all ....

Went to the flicks with DH yesterday and saw Narnia. Thoroughly recommend it!
Totally non-OS though ... including scrummy popcorn and fanta, LOL.

Flaked out in bed at 00:15 as DH had to be up and out of the house for 08:00 ... unfortunately DD came in to bed with us at 01:40 (stupidly I looked at the clock, not having my glasses on thought it was 06:40), so I had a starfished DD on one side and a snoring DH on the other, at 03:40 I decided to leave them to it, but due to being cold ridden did the tossing and turning thing until 05:30 when she decided to wake everyone up. We still were resisting getting up per se ... but hey, my ma put paid to that at 07:00 ... gawd I remember how she used to wake me up every morning ... no wonder I hate mornings, LOL!

So, here I am, pre-9am on a Sunday, DW unloaded/reloaded, porridge eaten, nappies hung out, bed stripped and in WM .... DH despatched to the airport .. waves

Plans for the rest of the day ... who knows, may suggest to my ma a trip to ikea if I can face it.

    B - Porridge
L - soup or something at Ikea
    D - that's a long time away!

    Morning!

Im tired, I had a late one and ended up being dragged into a nightclub even though I protested loudly. I dont like going into them becuase even if I dont drink, i still wake up the next day with a ringing head and ears and usually someone has burnt my coat with a fag.

Plan for today is to go and have a shower, do a bit more cleaning whilst watching saint Delia on uktv food, and then go to either sunday food market/chinese supermarket/asian supermarket, or a combination of the three, I need a few bits and fancy a good old browse. I need some kind of soup containers too for taking to work, so ill see if I can find any. I want to start freezing soup batches to take to work for lunches.

The rest of the day will be taken up by making a fish pie of some description (its the bofs new favourite meal) and im also thinking about buying some of those disposable metal food containers that I can premake things like fish pie to freeze so I can cook less when im working. And ive still got to sort out the car!

Right, tea is finshed so off to the shower for me!

    Jo xx

You can do it either way, whichever one pleases you :)

Even so, I'd suggest a small amount of water in the bottom of the pot so that it will make a proper seal around the lid.

There's a good recipe in the "lamb" section of the main Slow Cooker Recipe Index:-
